We were in town visiting and was craving Chinese food. My family and I visited here because Chinatown Express reminded us of St. Louis style fried rice back home. After placing our online order, our food was hot and fresh. It was a 10 min wait and I definitely recommend this place. The crab rangoon was delicious as well. Next time, I will mention darker rice but overall, this establishment is the closest to St. Louis style fried rice for Kansas City, Mo. My mom is very particular when it comes down to vegetable lo mein and she loved it! Well done Chinatown Express!

I placed an order for fried rice and paid $2 extra dollars for extra egg. I get home and there’s Little to no eggs in the fried rice. I called them back and told them the situation. Instead of trying to make it right, they resorted to gaslighting me and telling me I did get extra egg when there’s literally next to nothing in the dish. The rice was bland and not seasoned well. So With the bland food and trash customer service, I will not be coming back to Chinatown express

I’m so disappointed because this has been our go to Chinese restaurant for a few years but we had a horrible experience there today. The egg rolls were pink on the inside and smelled foul. We brought them back and asked for a refund and they questioned us saying they order them and they can’t be bad but they clearly were. They were very hesitant to give us a refund and even said that the bad taste could have been since I am pregnant, but I ensured her that my husband (who is very not pregnant) felt they tasted the same way. Just a bummer that they did not take food safety into consideration when serving food.

First time in. The food is really good but they need to work on the wait time. First chinese restaurant that I had seen that doesn’t have lunch specials. Totally recommend it if you don’t mind spending about $20 per person.

excellent food! Some of the best Chinese takeout I’ve had in this area. They have a different take on the pork fried rice. It’s not roast pork. They cook the pork differently, giving the rice a altogether improved flavor. I went basic with the chicken wings and they are to die for. This place is a hidden gem.

We pulled in at 604 p m walked in the door and the lady behind the counter asked if we had a to go order. We stated no we were going to dine in and she said, well, it’s going to be a forty minute, wait when there was no one in the restaurant, she said she had two really huge orders. And we had to wait until she was done with those. I will never return here again. Customers patronizing a restaurant should be the priority not to go orders.

I enjoyed my food here a great deal. The server was very kind, and while the building is nothing to look at, the food was very yummy the portion sizes were big. One order of lo mein was enough for 2 meals for me. Will come back and try more!

I give this place an A+. The food was amazing. The beef was actually soft the only issue was I asked for spicy and didn’t get it. First time I ate here though.
