Chinatown may be the only Chinese option in Harvard Illinois. The food I had there was consistent, portions were good and the location was convenient for work.
They have an online ordering system, but I was not able to get it to work so I just called in my orders. During the week they’re open till 930 and on the weekend they’re open until 10 so they are a good later night option. The picture is from their website.

My husband and I were going through town and we were so hungry! I did a quick check of online reviews and they were good so we went in. The kung pao dinner and general tso’s dinner were fabulous! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area! Thank you!

I will be giving my best and honest review….
When I first went here, the food was so good that they brought me back as a returning customer. Well, as I went back for my second time I took my mother because I was bragging about how good it was so we went and the lady told me that my food would be done in 10 minutes by the time I called in my order and got to the restaurant. My food was being heated up in the microwave. I brushed it off and was saying whatever considering they closed in 30 minutes I gave them the benefit of the doubt I’m all for second chances so I go back a third time with my mother and this time the food is cooked in a pot and it’s delicious but lo and behold the next day I am getting fraudulent charges on my card from the restaurant. They tried taking my information because I did not leave them a tip they were also complaining in their language that I did not leave them a tip and because of that they tried stealing money off of my card. I recommend if you go here please use cash. But I will no longer be eating here

This is the best Chinese restaurant within a 50 mile radius. I guarantee you will love it.

I Love this place. I used to work in Harvard and would get lunch there twice a week. I recently moved to the boarder of Kenosha and Racine in Wisconsin and now drive 50 miles each way to get my Chinatown food a few times per month. The food is Hot, tastes great and actually looks like the picture on the menu. Enjoy!!!

This is the best Chinese take away. I live in the Rockford area and I don’t hesitate for one second to come here when I need my Chinese fix. Try it.
:EDIT:
I think this place must have changed owners because the last few times my food was not as good as it used to be. The Mongolian beef was dry. Almost as if they forgot the sauce. This has happened twice so far. Very disappointed.

The best Chinese food around! Friendly staff. They never make a mistake. However, I did on our last order – I forgot egg rolls! When I got home, egg rolls were in the bag. We’re regulars, and they knew I made a mistake, so they added them. Egg rolls, Cashew Chicken, Schezuan Chicken or Beef, General Tso’s Chicken – all are great! Best Chinese food anywhere.

I would give 5 stars, but they don’t put water chestnuts in the Chop Suey… The food is still good and very reasonable priced. I still recommend going here and the people that work there are very nice too..

My Crab Ragoon was dripping in oil and the beef friend rice had no flavor. It was like steamed rice with soy sauce. Definitely not very flavorful at all. I was not impressed with their veggie rolls. The Beef Lo Mein was good. But nothing to brag about. Will not be eating there again.

This is the best chinese I have had experienced here (I’m a frequent visitor from NY). For those of you looking for crispy, not mushy, delish plump pork and/or shrimp rolls that are also NOT swimming in unidentified oil- this is the ONLY place that I have found from Rockford to Chicago ( and in between) that delivers. Amazing little gem in the middle of a small country strip mall. This includes the chicken fried rice and the pork mei fun- perfect! Cannot begin to be able to explain the diff between NY style chinese food and what seems to be the norm in Illinois. For those locals that are interested in finding out- it’s worth the trip.
