I’ve been coming to this place fairly often, and it’s always been a solid choice for takeout. The new management has definitely made a great impression! The lady behind the counter is so friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. The food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced. Although there aren’t any tables to eat at inside, there are a few chairs where you can sit while waiting for your order. The rest of the waiting area is sparsely decorated. They’re open every day except for Tuesday, which is really convenient. Overall, a great spot for tasty Chinese food with excellent service. Highly recommend!

I have been a patron of this business for 20 years. There apparently has been a change of ownership in the last year. This take out has until now been my go to for Chinese food in the neighborhood. In the last matter of months the new ownership have managed to escalate the prices to a point comparable to sit down restaurant rates. Seriously? 20% increase in 3 months! Too greedy. Best of luck with return clientele in future. You’re really going to need it because I will not be coming back.

Not the best Chinese food, but they are cheap and quick, and the portion is rather large. The lunch specials is especially a good deal, less than $8, and that comes with either fried rice or steamed white rice. No dine-in available so takeout only, but there are public benches right across the street.

I would have given it a 5 star. Have you ever ordered the shrimp with rice. Then they only give you two small cocktail containers for 15 shrimps…..I have added pictures. I think the container with the cold slaw should use the shrimp cocktail….Tell me what you think. I have asked about this several times, and all she says it come like that already.

I been going to this place since the 90’s and even though i moved to maryland always came at least a couple of times a year to eat the fry chicken with mambo sauce, last year i called and no one answered, my first thought was oh my god i hope the sweet old lady is okay, then this week they finally answered i ordered the usual and i came in and i saw new faces behind the counter no smiles but i got my food, the mambo sauce had such strong vinegar taste , not the same , my husband said oh looks like this are new owners because this is not it! Very disappointed and very sad that i no longer have a reason to come to my old neighborhood 🙁

To be honest I was skeptical of the high recommended reviews this restaurant was receiving based on buying into the hype before with high recommendations google reviews on other carryouts restaurants in the area an was let down with the food sadly so I decided to give this restaurant a try as well an boy o boy was i totally surprised I ordered two lunch specials of szechuan beef & beef with broccoli which only came up to $15 an some change which was a bargain of a price for both meals the portions were plentiful for a lunch special where most other carryouts lunch specials are usually smaller and more expensive the food itself was very delicious the beef was cooked very well not undercooked or tough to chew the vegetables & fried rice were also flavorful and made fresh I was very pleased I wasn’t bamboozled again by Google reviews the high recommendations were spot on this time I will definitely be back again to order from this restaurant

The sesame chicken was exceptionally tender and flavorful, and the rice complements it appropriately.

i ordered a combination with vegetables, chicken, beef, and shrimp & the veggies where to hard to chew. i also ordered 4 drumsticks and they were not fully cooked from the inside. i want the old people that were working there. i liked this carry out it was my childhood but now its different service and different people. i don’t think i will be coming here anymore.

Food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My husband and I eat there at least twice a month and it NEVER disappoints! If you’re in the mood for something spicy try their General Tso’s Chicken or Chicken Wings with Mumbo sauce (yes real DC mumbo sauce), both dishes are my all time favorites, or some mouth watering Egg Foo Young, and ohhhhhhh the Lo Mein(doesn’t matter the flavor…they’re all DELICIOUS)!!! The owners are fluent in English, and as Nice as they come! Looking for OUTSTANDING Chinese food then Chinatown is the place to find it!!!!
