Quick service, Good food. Cash only. Takeout only, no dining area.

I genuinely don’t know why there are so many bad reviews on this place, I suppose I can understand the complaints about service, but the lady that took our order was nice.

I dont think peolle leave good reviews as much as they do bad ones, just in general. you’re more likely to leave a review if it was bad…
Let me run you through my experience 🙂

This place is cash only, luckily we use NBT and there is a Nbt bank in the same plaza so that was an easy fix for us.

We went in and ordered our usual, 2 quarts chicken and broccoli, 1 order of steamed pork dumplings and 1 order of crab Rangoons.

we paid around 50 dollars, and in my opinion that’s very reasonable for Chinese food. It’s Similar priced to what we’re used to paying at other Chinese food places.

We were told it would be a 20 minute wait, so we sat down on the chairs near the door and waited. There is no dining area, takeout only.

I think we waited about 10-15 minutes, got our food and ate in the car.

when I pulled the container of chicken and broccoli out of the bag I was FLABBERGASTED. It was sooo heavy!! The portion sizes were amazing!! same goes for the dumplings, they were so big that they BENT the plastic forks we were given!!

as for flavor, the dumplings and sauce was delicious, same goes for the crab Rangoons, very flavorful! I would say the chicken and broccoli could have used a bit more garlic, but otherwise also very good!!

China Wok was a really nice experience, especially on the customer service aspect. They asked if I had food allergies first and took my order. When I arrived to pick up my food, I was greeted immediately and the lady at the front was extremely nice and even thanked me for ordering with them. The food is really delicious. I ordered the Singapore chow mei fun, fried dumplings, chicken and broccoli with white rice and chicken fried rice. (Not all for myself, lol) but everyone was saying how much they enjoyed their meal. The only downfall is that it is cash only. I was lucky enough to actually have some cash on me today. But overall experience was definitely a good one.

The food used to be ok, but in the past year it has gotten to the point of being worse than frozen PF Chang’s. How do you screw up pork lo mein ? Yesterday I got general tso’s lunch combo – mushy chicken balls and mushy fried rice. Drive a few miles to Oneonta for good Chinese food.

I love this place, The food is always fresh:) I get seafood delight and it is the best I’ve ever had:) The lady behind the counter is amazing!! she is always smiling and happy I just love her. I drive from an hour and a half away to Cooperstown and I stop every single time to eat here. I wish they would open a place by me in Andes Ny, Best Chinese food in upstate New York

Today I wanted to try something else so I got General Tso and it’s delish

Really among the worst Chinese food that I have ever had. Also, the priciest in the area. The house special soup was filled with huge pieces of celery. The Singapore .Mei Fun would burn your tongue out (and I like spicy food). It’s a one time place for sure.

The place has been around for ages. Once upon a time it was decent but those days are long gone. Even still up until a few years ago if you were willing to go next door to the grocery store and buy a bottle of your own sauce you can at least get something hot to eat that didn’t cost a lot of money. The owners or whoever deals with you at the counter has always made you feel like they hate you and that hasn’t changed.

Had not been in a few years and out of desperation and short on time I grabbed some general tso’s chicken or so I thought. Clearly the portion for the meal was about half of what I remember it just a few years ago. Same situation with the sauce but there was something really weird about the “chicken”. I don’t think it was actually chicken. They were these weird freezer burned tasting balls. One bite nearly turned my stomach. And I paid way too much! I want to say I paid the better part of $20 for one meal.

So over the years they went from tolerable to pretty bad to the point where they really just need to go away.

It’s insulting.

Family moves to our small town to open up a little Chinese restaurant and everybody welcomes it and embraces it and spends hard earned money there. And from day one they treat you like your beneath them and an inconvenience to serve. Then to make matters worse they continually raise the prices and cut corners because they know there isn’t anything else around and many of the baseball families will spend the money before they know any better. And what’s it matter to the owners? They’ll have made their money and then next week a new family will come to town and the cycle repeats.

I honestly don’t understand how anybody spends money in there but I suppose that’s my own opinion.

You were welcomed here, people.
Show a little appreciation and have some respect. For a lot of us locals a dollar is hard to come by. Maybe treat people with that understanding instead of juicing the place for all its worth and laughing your way to the bank

And cash only ? I can dig it but with what’s going on in there, I think the question needs to be asked:

Whatcha up to in there??

Very nasty lady waited on me. She was friendly to the locals, the 2 that came in, that is. The food used to be better and they should at least take a debit card. Next time im in town I’ll go to Jive where they feed you well, and with a smile.

Food was disgusting. Neither of us ate our 40 bucks worth of food. Online prices are not correct! Combos say 9.95 they are 13.95. Edamme is listed as 5.50 it was 7. They only take cash, and there is no dining in.
