We wanted to try the place just for something new. There was a lot of meat given with each of our orders. I had probably 2 cups of General Tsao chicken The fried rice was very basic and really would not qualify as fried rice in my mind. It had a few bean sprouts in it but no egg or a mix of veggies. The meat in the rice was a few chips of pork. There was a good amount of “to go” traffic. The man running the counter wasvery nice.

I’ve been coming here for many years and it used to be a family tradition, even ordering on Christmas. Unfortunately, the quality has gone way downhill. The food was extremely greasy, lacked flavor, and the noodles were falling apart and mushy, every bite of tofu was a mouthful of oil. You can tell cheaper ingredients are being used now.
It’s disappointing because this place used to be a go to. At this point, the prices don’t match the quality. If you’re in a pinch and need quick food, it might do, but I wouldn’t recommend it anymore based on how much it’s changed.

After having Chinese food at a couple of the other local restaurants, I’m totally blown away at how good this is! I ordered three different things and we had leftovers, the leftovers are even phenomenal! Everything was just great!

Employees were rude, not helpful and to busy gossiping to help customers. Place had a funny smell. Food was disgusting. Who loads up a Kung Pao Chicken with big chunks of celery and carrots?? Broccoli in garlic sauce should be that, not a whole bunch of other vegetables in it. The Sesame Shrimp and the General Tao Shrimp was 90% grease and breading and 10% shrimp!! The wonton soup had a thick layer of yellow grease on the top of it. The “fried rice” was bright yellow, no vegetables, just yellow rice!! Laden in lots of grease and tumeric. If I wanted indian food, that’s what I would of ordered. The Worst Chinese food I have ever had. Ordered ahead and was told it would be an hour and a half wait for pickup because they were so busy. We waited, got there at designated time and the place was a ghost town. The employees pretty much ignored us. We had to filter through the pickup orders ourselves to find ours. The food was completely inedible. The fortune cookies were either empty (no fortune) or had a Duo Lingo Ad. Pathetic. If you are looking for good Chinese in McHenry or surrounding areas, Lakemoor, DO NOT GO TO CHINATOWN!! Overpriced Greasy Tumeric Laden Food!!! Utterly Unbelievable that they are still in business. I wanted to give it no stars, but I am not able to do that so 1 star it got. If I could I would give it negative 10 stars!!

My girlfriend ordered through the phone and they were super friendly. I went in to pick it up and the order was ready and she was very nice to me. After a 25 minute drive home the food was still warm. i thought the rice was great and the dumplings were amazing. My girlfriend loved the sesame chicken.

O love this place, Been a customer for 20 years with all owners, HE knows my order before I tell him, not the best for atmosphere but its a china restaurant..it has booths and a washroom, what else you need? food is always hot and delish !!!
