What I ordered, three different spicy dishes and they all had different intensity of spice levels.
I do recommend ordering a not spicy dish for sure, or go all in like myself to get your spicy fixes here. lol
I have attached a picture of the entree I got, which was Water-Boiled Fish. So amazing! Highly recommend.
The lunch menu appears to be large with abundant and numerous choices, all of which sounded delicious.
I ordered the trusted beef Lo Mein, fried wontons, fried rice and egg flower soup. The lunch menu offers rice so when the server inquired if l wanted white rice or fried rice l went for the fried rice without further thought. It was only later with the presentation of the bill did l become acutely aware of the unexplained and unexpected upcharge. I really felt it’s only $1 but it’s also extremely deceptive, disingenuous and borders on being questionably dishonest to upsell without advising of the additional charge. It came across as a tacky and a greedy misstep that probably should never have happened. I found the way it was mishandled far outweighed the original trespass. By time l departed it had left a bad taste in my mouth. A review of previous reviews documents a long almost endless list of such willful, deliberate and intentional abusive transgressions.
The food was decent and issue free. I especially enjoyed the egg flower soup and found it delicious. I found the condiments tray to border on being filthy and question if the incredibly sticky pepper shaker has been recently cleaned at any point in this decade or the one before. The soy sauce bottle lid was equally disgusting.
The AC seemed set too high and the interior was noticably warm. Not uncomfortable, but warm on an already hot Arizona day.
Service was decent and my water was never allowed to run dry which was truly appreciated given the temp of the dining room.
Overall I was not dissatisfied in my dining experience, but I wasn’t remotely impressed and by mid meal had regretted my visitation decision.
I definitely won’t be returning in this lifetime, thus avoiding getting institutionally hosed for the extra buck for the fried rice.
Tucson is full of far better places to enjoy tasty Chinese food at without the deceptive hidden charges.
Skip this one, your not really that hungry.
I cant wait to go back.
