China Sun has been around for quite a while but still serve up a great selection of American Chinese food. We live a bit away from China Sun now but try to come back as often as possibly. Great lunch and dinner specials that always taste great. Still a great value for a plate that comes with a soup and appetizer. We are always treated kindly and the food comes out fast and hot. The exterior might seem a little old but inside is nice and clean. Great option if you’re looking for a large portion of Chinese at a great value! We were all in the mood for sesame chicken but I’ve tried many different entrees and they have all been great but I think their sesame is near the top. Crispy and tender!

So happy to find Bakmi Kalimantan here. The noodles are so flavorful and authentic, just like the ones back home. The toppings were generous, and the broth tasted rich and comforting. Definitely a hidden gem for anyone craving real Indonesian noodles. I’ll be back for sure!

I recently visited this restaurant and was absolutely blown away by the authenticity of the Indonesian food. I ordered Nasi Padang, Batagor, and Soto Betawi, and each dish was bursting with flavor. The Nasi Padang was rich and satisfying, the Batagor crispy and savory, and the Soto Betawi had that creamy, comforting broth that instantly brought back memories of Indonesia.
Everything tasted just like home – it was more than just a meal, it was an experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Indonesian cuisine!

I’m so happy that Indonesian food is now available in San Antonio.
I ordered all the food and I really liked it. Everything was very delicious and tasty.
I ordered Padang rice, noodles, chicken satay, ketoprak, and mixed rice or chicken rice. You all must try this very authentic food.
I hope you like it too.

Been coming here for a long time, quality has been going down for sure, rice isn’t even the same any more, and now even there quality control has tanked. Extremely disappointed to say the least.

Finally we can get Indonesian food in San Antonio. Thank you lots and lots to China Sun. I ordered Nasi Bebek Cabe Hijau and Bakmi Medan, and it is very tasty. It tastes the same like what we have back home. Definitely will go back there again and again.

Amazing go-to for anyone that loves Indonesian cuisine! The beef rendang was nicely cooked and the accompanying sambal was definitely fresh and spicy! Hard to find this food in SA in general and they do it really well! Absolutely will stop by again!

Decided to try this place for lunch & I’m glad we did. Lunch came with some choices. We chose soup, fried rice & egg rolls with our entrees. We tried the egg drop & wonton soups, both are delicious & I would recommend either one. We ordered the combination lo mein & chicken with broccoli in brown sauce. We shared the plates so we could get a taste of everything & really I could order either one again. The egg rolls were stuffed, fat & tasty too. We also added an order of steam dumplings. They tasted like they were made in house & the gentleman confirmed it. The steamed dumplings dipping sauce looked like it could be too spicy, but it was perfect. Very nice friendly service. Tasty food! We hope to try more & will add more pics of them too.
