Good atmosphere, Food did not seem fresh. Ordered lo mein as my side, was given fried rice (seen in pic below). They fixed the mistake but charged me for getting lo mein. lol. Com’ on man!! 🙁

This was my first time ordering from here since they reopened after Katrina. I ordered takeout a few nights ago and was not at all disappointed. My classic is mandarin chicken, and it was so delicious. The rice was soft with quite a few shrimp. Shrimp toast too – very fresh and flavorful. I’ll be back!

I used to die for their egg rolls. But today they weren’t what they used to be. They are smaller and tastes totally different. Now to be fair I haven’t had them since 2016 but we used to eat those egg rolls from as early as I can remember: 2000-2016 until today. I have to accept that I’m just old and all the best things are going away. I wish only good things to this restaurant, the food we ordered today was good just different.

Food rivals Quick Wok down the street. Decent but nothing to write home about. Iced tea tastes like nothing. Never got a refill on it until I asked, when she came back she only filled the glass halfway……..I mean if I’m paying for it, it’s not your choice to give me half a glass. So service is sub par in my opinion. Food is edible. Only thing good is that it’s cheap.

This was the Best Prepared Chinese Food I have probably ever had. Just so well made, fresh ingredients, hell, fresh grease. Server was super professional and that makes my Hospitality Heart Glad. Great Job China Ruby. Still trying to finish my left overs it was so much food!!

Just left from here. Told our waitress three times I was allergic to seafood so what were my options for the shrimp fried rice, if any. Waitress said I could get egg fried rice. I accepted the egg fried rice and let her know again I was allergic to seafood. She said ok and put our order in. Almost half way through my rice, I find a piece small piece of shrimp…. After taking my meds and epi, I let the waitress know. She said she told them and went up front to a lady who is the owner I was told. The owner then told a different waitress to come speak to us. The waitress explains to me that they do their best to “pick out the shrimp” but they can’t guarantee all of it gets picked out I explained to her that I made my waitress aware of my allergies several times and she could of told me they can’t help with changing the shrimp fried rice or given me an option that would not include seafood. THEN, I receive the check and they didn’t even offer anything off my plate and charged me full price for an almost full plate of food. I don’t mind paying something but to charge me full price for a meal that could of killed me. The owner didn’t even come to the table and speak with us. Our first waitress came back and I explained my frustration to her and she said she would pay for my meal. I did not let her and she refused my tip because she felt bad. In the end, I insisted on her taking the tip and her not paying for my meal.
China Ruby owners, you guys need to learn what customer service is and also to take accountability for your mistakes. I’m a business owner myself and I would never serve someone Egg Fried Rice that someone tried to “PICK THE SHRIMP OUT”

I’m a bit bummed that they are now take out, but the service is still good and so is the food. The portions are always pretty large and the prices per meal is usually around $10 or less.
