My husband an I were driving by and I seen the place a few times and decided I was going to give them a try as I have yet to find good authentic Mexican food in NC wilson especially we stopped by around 11am the place was empty besides two customers dining in. The couple was running the place was very friendly. Being from Los Angeles and growing up with my brown ppl I’m very versed in Mexican cuisine. I ordered al pastor quesadilla and scopes and carne asada burrito since my expectations weren’t high I wasn’t disappointed the Al pastor recipe needs some work it doesn’t taste like al pastor I know different parts of Mexico cooks things differently but the alpastor didn’t taste like anything familiar to al pastor my husband didn’t even realize it had pineapple in it cause you couldn’t taste it he told me my al pastor was much better than this and taste more authentic thank God I learned from a Mexican friend the asada was much better this place is authentic homemade style cooking but just not great homemade food and I do find the prices high in Wilson for the amount that you get but the owner are very kind and I think if they work on their recipes and revamp the place they would get more business I wish them the best

The chicken enchiladas were natural and tasted good. The couple who run it boast of their homemade food. I think all the menu items will be good as a result. I’ll be back to try more.
I went back the next morning for breakfast. I had an omelet with rice, beans, and toast. VERY good.
If you want something vegetarian, or vegan, just tell them. They don’t mind doing custom work.
The interior is clean and nice like an oasis.

Lots of parking space. We went on a Sunday afternoon so it was not busy at all. Their salsa and chips were great except I think the chips that were served to us were quite hard. I tried one of their al pastor sopes. It was delicious. My bf thought his carne asada torta was delicious as well. I wasn’t a fan of the rice; it was greasy. The horchata had a nice flavor.
The waitress was nice.

Authentic Mexican food, the chefs definitely take their time to make sure the food is made super well and authentic. The owner and waiters were super nice as well. I recommend getting sopes there, the torilla was delicious and crispy.

We were driving from Myrtle Beach SC to Virginia Beach and were looking for an authentic southern restaurant. After driving around and not finding any descent southern restaurants, we had to ‘settle’ on this charming Mexican restaurant. Maybe we settles on the type of restaurant, but not on the food! From parents to kids, the food was very good and authentic. The price was good too as we paid a couple of nights earlier double in a Mexican restaurant that wasn’t as half as good as this one. So, if you find yourself in Wilson, NC and looking for good food in a clean charming restaurant, with very nice staff, we highly recommend!

This was my first time here, and not the authentic experience I was expecting. The shrimp in my soup were not deveined or deheaded and they were over cooked. The chicken in the tacos was dry and unseasoned, and the cilantro/onions/jalapenos we’re not fresh. The only dish that was good was the guacamole.. I wasted 60 bucks.. There are other places in Wilson with better, real, authentic Mexican food.

Quaint. Comfortable. There was a table of eight enjoying themselves and appropriately quiet. I enjoyed watching the Hearings on my phone eating the chicken flautas with beans and rice. Beans were good, probably better if you asked them to be refried. I think they tasted low salt which is healthier and I prefer healthier so I liked them. Excellent experience.
