Honestly, I can’t wait to go back because I haven’t been this excited about Chinese food in decades!
THE BEST Peking duck I’ve ever had!!! Really amazing! I can’t say enough about it … the skin was super crispy, the hoisin was not overly salty like most, plenty of fresh scallion and cucumber, and the homemade pancakes were better than any other I’ve ever had and I’ve been eating Peking duck for 40 years!
We also very much enjoyed the pork belly bao bun sliders, soup dumplings, chicken lettuce wraps, chicken lo mein, General Tso’s, and filet mignon tips as well as the Saki and beer.
It’s super clean with very friendly service and it’s a great place to go with a large group or for an intimate dinner or takeout.
*My only criticism is the broccoli with the General Tso’s chicken was not cooked enough to our liking but it was extremely fresh so not a big deal. We’ll just ask to have it cooked longer next time.
**Edit: Added more photos from our 2nd visit. Everything was amazing once again! This time the broccoli with the General Tso’s was PERFECT! We started with wonton soup (not pictured) and the beef and egg soup with cilantro that came with a beautifully mild and floral vinegar to add if you choose (I choose and was happy I did), Chinese 5 spice ½ roasted chicken with crispy shallot, cilantro and light soy ginger sauce, mixed veggies in a light brown sauce and once again, General Tso’s chicken.
Our server, Eddie was a sweetheart and the owner, Jimmy remembered us and came over to greet us.

Hands down the absolute best Chinese food we have ever had. We have skipped take out entirely to make time for a meal, a drink, and some delicious soup dumplings at China Pavilion. The staff is so very kind, and even remembers your face. I’ve ordered almost half the menu at this point and have not once been disappointed. Bao Buns, Soup Dumplings, Spicy Popcorn chicken, Lo Mein, Fried Rice, General Tsos, Hot Special Beef, Spicy Popcorn Chicken, Ginger Chicken Castle and anything else you could read on the menu has been a 10/10.
I cannot stress enough, find the time to come here and have a meal. You won’t regret it.

We bought takeout and they gave it to us in containers from the previous restaurant. The sesame chicken (regular) tasted off. Also I don’t know if this is customary but they put vinegar or wine in their soy sauce.

This place went above and beyond our expectations. From the street it’s not much to look at, but the food and service are outstanding. Everything we ordered was full of flavor, not to mention extremely fresh and not overly heavy/saucy like most Chinese restaurants. I definitely would consider this “upscale” Chinese food, not your average takeout. Jimmy, the owner, is awesome! He really cares about his customers and even brought us popcorn chicken to try (which was on the house, and INCREDIBLE). The cocktails are great too. HIGHLY recommend this place – you will not be disappointed.

This Restaurant is a hidden Gem. After having eaten in many Chinese Restaruants in Nassau County and Queens, this definitely had the best food. The service was also attentive. Recommended are the Soup Dumplings, Beef Chow Fun (best anywhere) and Peking Duck with Buns (you have to ask for buns rather than the pancakes). They have a diversified and interesting menu.

My girlfriend and I finally got to experience this amazing restaurant which is truly an authentic dine in Chinese restaurant. Jimmy the owner was very hospitable and made us two amazing drinks off the drink menu. We then took his recommendations and had an amazing order of bao buns, we then enjoyed our entree orders of the Mapo tofu and house beef. Both were very flavorful and Jimmy was kind enough to provide an order of their chicken which was also amazing. Long Beach/Island Park has been lacking on a restaurant like this and it is a welcoming addition to our community!

Food is amazing!!! Prices and wait time are totally worth it. I remember eating chinese food when I was younger and enjoying it. Now every chinese place has horrible quality food. The chicken is tough and chewy and the sauce is thick and gooey. It’s just not the same. This place is so good. It brought me back to when quality mattered. Trust me you will not be disappointed.
