Usually this place serves great food! But not this afternoon, I’m very disappointed. I ordered the moo goo gia pan, the sauce was so thick it wasn’t really a sauce, and the rice was so sticky it was really bad. I’ve never seen anything like it. These restaurants should do their very best with the food considering what people have to pay for it nowadays. But again, it’s usually very good food there. Maybe they have a new cook or something, but whoever cooked today’s food should stop cooking.

Since moving out of the Columbus area I think this is the best Chinese restaurant in Athens Oh. We have tried some places up in town but nothing compares to this place. Food is always hot, service is always good. We have watched the kids grow up in this restaurant from drawing pictures to now waiting on customers. A very good vibe at this place.

This establishment serves their patrons on chipped plates. This is unsanitary. The bathrooms were also unfit for a restaurant. More like a truck stop.
The food was fine, but the portion was small. I can’t help but wonder what other corners were cut in its preparation. I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Long Ish Review:
Dude who makes the sushi & works the front is RUDE! Rushed us to order when we’re the only people in there, tossed the receipt, pen, & card on the counter when my hand was visibly out. Sushi rice on the combination plates, didn’t provide no fortune cookies, silverware, or sauce even though we ordered $40 worth of food. Sushi included which normally indicates soy sauce at the least. I even tipped when it was a TO-GO ORDER, but lesson learned for next time when in the area. Won’t be revisiting EVER.

Been coming here for years and I swear it gets better every time. Portions are great and filling, food is always hot, I’ve never been disappointed with China Panda. My fiance and I recently have been on a sushi kick and China Panda makes quite possibly the best sushi I’ve had in my life. Highly recommend the Cortland Roll as well as the Pikachu Roll!! They have a customer for life. Best Chinese and Japanese food in Athens.

Very good food. It’s the Chinese restaurant you’re hoping for when you roll the dice somewhere. Service was a little slower than it should’ve been at the time, but again, food was great. Family run and they have a good vibe that shows in their operation. Will return without question next time I’m in Athens.
