We purchased this fish plate from China One on Government Street. When we got home to enjoy our meal and open the plate, this fish looked like something that i had not seen before. When we took the plate back to see if we could get something else we were told that they had a no refund policy. When we asked if they could identify what type of fish it was, they could not tell us. We don’t know is what we were told. This was the first time ordering the fish. We always order the shrimp fried rice, which is pretty good. We will not be going back.!!!

First and foremost the guy running the restaurant has poor customer service. The young lady at the counter addressed me in a well manner. Seeing that it was my first time there she explained the menu and took a seat but was still waiting on me to decide my order. While I was reviewing the menu the guy comes from the back on the phone and starts to reprimand her for not addressing me in which she already had done so. So I ordered vegetable egg foo young with shrimp fried rice I waited 10 mins no problem started looking around and noticed the place could use some house keeping. They had a lot of bugs flying on and around the place as well. So I get to work and basically it’s not egg foo young it’s a bunch of broccoli thrown together mixed with a lil bit of egg and it’s burnt. I went back and shown the same guy the food and he got loud and obnoxious with me about how he’s been cooking it for over 20 yrs that way. Sir you just sold me basically a broccoli patty with no type of season to it what so ever. He got mad and tried to remake it using the same frozen broccoli and cabbage I said no. That dish is suppose to come with eggs thicken with onion carrrots and peas seasoned with a gravy sauce. He then refused to make me another dish at the same price. So I left my order there and I called my back to have the transaction refunded. I did taste the rice and it was fine.

If ur used to the China one on airline/bluebonnet for Buffalo wings, don’t go here. There’s no sauce on the wings! It’s just like spicy fried chicken wings! No thank you! I was expecting a sauce but not here. Plus they’re salty as all get out. Also they will upcharged you for shrimp fried rice when u clearly said pork fried rice.

It is your average Chinese take out with the menu photos on the wall but the quality of the food has always been consistently good. I can’t say why but it always has a fresher flavor than most other take out places. The staff are friendly and efficient. The service is also reasonable, even during busy hours. The food deserves 5 stars overall, except the fried rice is rather plain and the building and atmosphere are just like any other typical strip mall.

I called my order in at 10:38pm. They close at 11pm. The Food was cooked to perfection and ready by 10:50p , the price was reasonable, and the people were very pleasant. I look forward to doing business with China1 again soon. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
