A quaint little China town restaurant in Lafayette, Louisiana that serves Moo Shu, same dish that’s always mentioned in all the “Jackie Chan” movies? It even could be respected for review by the YouTuber Xiaomanyc? When you plan to take out chinese or dine in, so rickshaw your way to some great tasting authentic food.

We go here often and it’s always great. A Lafayette icon for Chinese dining in or carry out, you won’t go wrong with China one.

My first time here was okay, I tried the noodles, but I did not like them (too greasy/oily and tasteless), and that’s probably why I never came back in almost more than a year. However, today I decided to give this pace another chance. This time I tried the fried rice, amazing (fried rice never disappoints, loll), and chicken sesame. It was good, with big portions, I would prefer a little bit more rice and less chicken (in my opinion is too much sauce and make it cloying) but overall it’s okay. I think is a good, quick and affordable food. The fried rice is the lifesaver for now.

We ordered over Seeet and Sour Chicken with Shrimp Fried Rice, and an order of Crab Rangoon’s.
OMG, I could not stop bragging on how good this food was. The Shrimp fried rice was freshly cooked with large shrimp in it. The vegetables was editable, not hard. The Chicken was nice and tender. The sweet and sour sauce didn’t taste like pineapple or lemon juice. It was just right. And the Crab Rangoon’s was perfect. My husband and I really enjoyed the meal and will be back very soon.

China One stands alone for some of the best and most authentic Chinese cuisine in Lafayette. I have tried the rest and China One is the best. I truly recommend this place if you want Chinese food for lunch or dinner check them out.

My noodles were oily and had a poor flavor – I ordered noodles and vegetables. They left out one of my orders for vegetable egg rolls. The orange chicken had a very faint flavor of orange. I will not be wasting my money on the place again. I definitely do not recommend this place at all.

Every month we find a local spot and order for work. It’s usually between 15 and 25 orders, and sometimes it’s easy and other times it’s not. China One has been the go-to Chinese comfort food restaurant of my family’s choice for YEARS, but this was the first time ordering big. They were AMAZING and very accommodating when I needed the order a little earlier than they normally have orders ready. They were responsive and helpful, and the food was delicious. Try the crab rangoons (best we’ve had) and the egg foo young!

Beware! The prices on their website are not up to date. Food was great as usual but the biggest and only issue (besides missing an egg roll) is the incorrect prices shown on their official website. I posted photos of the current menu and their correct prices. I hope they update their website asap.
