What Happened to This Place? A Disappointing Decline
I’ve been working in the area for a long time and used to genuinely love coming here for lunch. Sadly, based on my recent experiences, I completely agree with the most recent negative reviews on Google—something has drastically changed, and not for the better.
Unpleasant Ordering Experience
First, let’s talk about the service. Every single time I try to order from the lunch menu and explicitly specify that I am ordering a lunch special, the woman who answers the phone gets visibly and audibly annoyed. It’s a valid option on your menu, and frankly, I’ll spend my money how I choose. The unnecessary attitude makes the entire ordering process tense and unwelcome.
The Food is Seriously Lacking
The quality of the food has plummeted. On my most recent visit, I ordered Shrimp with Broccoli over White Rice. The shrimp were discolored—all of them had black markings—and they were barely cooked, borderline raw. The most shocking part was the temperature. My food was cold. I placed my order, drove 10 minutes, and picked it up immediately, yet it was not steaming hot. I have never, in my life, picked up Chinese takeout that wasn’t piping hot. I experienced the exact same temperature issue when I ordered General Tso’s Chicken previously; it wasn’t even warm, making me wonder if it had been cooked the night before and left sitting out.
The Last Straw
My final visit cemented my decision never to return. As the woman was quickly bagging my order, she grabbed a small bag containing an egg roll from the wrong end, and the egg roll promptly fell out onto the floor. She and I made eye contact, and instead of replacing it, she simply kicked the egg roll under the rack with her foot. That told me everything I needed to know about their hygiene and standard of service. I immediately walked away.
Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to spend your lunch money. This place is no longer worth the hassle or the risk.

Egg roll was old, cold, and not crispy. I saw them pre-cooking and stacking them for orders. My boneless spare ribs were like CARDBOARD. They tasted good, but you can’t eat it(like cardboard). The only thing that was good was the fried rice. This was my go-to place in flemington. Needless to say I will not be returning after this MAJOR upset. Shame.

Low quality Chinese food. Terrible customer service. The woman at the register is always very angry. This is not an isolated incident I’ve been there 5 times and every time she is very angry. While paying for the order she will tell YOU to wait so she can pickup the phone to take the next order all while your food is getting cold.
General Tso’s Chicken was so dry and OLD we had a hard time chewing the chicken. It was even more dry than beef jerky.
Also the place is DIRTY! Nasty place.

This was the worst Dinner we ever got from China Moon in Flemington, NJ The Hot & sour soup was a grease bowl and unedadible , terrible. The beef sticks were hard as a rock! General tso was gross. They threw in a burnt dried up egg roll-trash. They have done mush better in the past. They need to do much better or they will lose their customers. That was after giving a generous tip.

People being people. Their focus is efficiency, not to talk, and I love that. Made me worried that the food was ready in 5 minutes, made me think the food was rubber. Their food is soo good.
