The food, service, atmosphere, and prices were all just okay. My first experience dining at China Lobster in Lower Burrell was not remarkable. Upon entering the store, I was greeted. Parking is limited. I was taken aback by the stunning fish tank display in the front lobby. I was seated in a booth, which I preferred. The restaurant could use a thorough cleaning. The staff were helpful. Dishes were removed from the tables, drinks were replenished, and the buffet was restocked and cleaned. The food selection was abundant, but the quality was underwhelming. Some dishes were enjoyable, while others fell short. There were a few bothersome flies hanging around the buffet steam tables and restaurant walls, which was frustrating! I appreciate the diversity of the staff. The bathroom was tidy, and employees were at a back table snapping green beans. Overall, the price was fair for what you got.

We are immediately seated, buffet is filled and my son and I are full and happy when we leave. Service is great. Empty plates are removed from the table, and drink glasses rarely stay empty. The dinning areas are kept clean and the tables are not crowded together. Subtle background music and crowd noise is minimal using proper spacing. Did i mention that the food is affordable?

China lobster has been around for over 20 years in the Leechburg Pa area. It’s always clean, well maintained and the food is absolutely delicious. The prices have not gone up over the years and the quantity is the same as it ever was. The buffet is well stocked and maintained throughout the entire time it is available. I highly recommend this restaurant and feel they deserve my recommendation.

I always get take out from China Lobster and always order enough for leftovers. They’ll customize most entrees if you ask. Love their brown rice, it has a perfect snap and soaks up the sauce nicely. You can order sides of sauce so you can cook up a quick stir fry at home.

So the buffet was okay. I think the best things on there are, the coconut shrimp, garlic green beans, and chicken nuggets.
The rest is okay but they have a word variation of the flavors of those other dishes that I do not like.
I wouldn’t say it was bad, but I don’t think it was worth the money to eat there.
While the place is clean it has a dingy and grimy look to the eating area. The buffet looks clean and crisp just the eating area is not great.
The wait staff was great here and significantly improved my experience eating here, but not a place I would recommend, but not bad enough for me to hate on. It is just not for me flavor wise on a lot of things.

China Lobster has excellent, fresh food. It’s quality has been consistent for many years. Locals love this restaurant. I don’t drink but one friend tells me her friends like the little bar too.

My wife and I had dinner at China Lobster. I had the Happy Family and a pork roll. My wife had the Subgum Pan-Fried Noodles. The place was busy and most people were getting the buffet. The Happy Family was hot and delicious with fried rice. My pork roll was excellent as well. My wife loved the Subgum Pan-Fried Noodles. Service was excellent and we were pleased.

Love this place. I drive a little bit to come here but it’s so worth it. There’s only a few good buffets I know of in the Pittsburgh area anymore and this is definitely one of the best. Hadn’t been here since Covid but glad they’re back with the buffet and it is really good. Just like it was before. Lunch price has gone up but they all have.

Food was gross and undercooked. Very limited selection for a buffet that charges 18.50$. On top of that i had to ask my waiter 3 times for lemons for my water and he didnt ever get around to them ever. Had to request straws twice before he listened as well
