I have been ordering from this restaurant since my college days and I’ll say it’s very good and of great value. My go to lunch order is hunan chicken with hot and sour soup (best in the city) so if the owner is reading this, you know who I am! Looking forward to many more lunches and great food. By the way, did I say that the hot and sour soup is the best in Atlanta, well it is.

We were able to look at a menu posted on the front window. When we walked in, the lady behind the counter asked us how we were and took our order. Lots of people came and went while we were waiting, so it must be popular, but service was fast. They were very polite and the food looks great. General Tso’s chicken, crab rangoons, and chicken lo mein.

As a vegetarian, there are plenty good options…the general tso tofu being my favorite. The family running this small joint is very nice as well. Good also didn’t take too long to come out upon ordering. They also have an extensive menu for those who are not vegetarian and my friends who eat have also agreed that it was good!

Ordered take out, sweet and sour and teriyaki chicken with two egg rolls. I do not believe there was actual chicken in either dish. Stringy octopus shaped fried bits took the place of what should have been chicken. Fried rice was just cooked brown rice and the egg rolls surprisingly had no quality to them either. Overpriced for what it was and neither of us could bring ourselves to eat more than a bite or two of each meal. Chinese food is hit or miss and this was a strike out.

China Kitchen is a hidden gem. If you know, you know. And if you don’t, you’re missing out. I frequented here a lot when I was in college and recently decided to go back and see if it was the same. I am very pleased to say the food is every bit as good as it was back then.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Called to place a order at 11:10am. The lady who took my order hung up on me 3x while I was half way through my order. I get to the restaurant upon walking in and at counter I advised that her that she hung up on me 3x in the middle of my order. She told me that if I didn’t like the way she answers the phone I could get the F out of her store and continued to repeat get the F out! It took everything in me not to loose my temper on her. Please don’t not order here you will treated rude and disrespected.
