We have always had great food and service here. I usually order sweet and sour chicken or pork, but have a new favorite, pineapple chicken! It has the right balance of chicken, pineapple and green peppers and the sauce is not too tangy. Their donuts are also awesome, particularly when they are warm. The food is fresh and the portions are large, we usually need a box to carry it all out!

Much better than your typical “strip mall” Asian takeout. Our carry out order was exceptional! We customized our order online and everything was made perfectly. China King uses fresh, not canned, mushrooms and peppers. The rice noodles were the right texture, the veggie fried rice was flavorful and not excessively salty … and the crab Rangoon were FAAANTASTIC.
The staff is exceptional, as well. On our online order, we selected “no meat” They noticed that we added a few items that would have contained meat and made excellent recommendations for alternative dishes.

Ordered chicken fried rice and Crab Rangoon. Food was hot but bland. Young lady at counter was very sweet. I did not like that the bathrooms are so close to tables.

My wife and i have ordered to go from here 3 times. We have had the sweet and sour chicken, shrimp fried rice, Mongolian beef, and dumplings. I gave it 5 stars because China King is everything i expect from Chinese takeout.

This is the best Chinese in town. Before China King came to town i had to drive all the way to Columbia to get decent Asian food or make it myself. I hope they stick around.

The first time I was there on a Sunday right after they opened, I had to wait for 20 minutes after the online order said the food would be ready. When I got home with my order it wasn’t complete. (Missing egg rolls). I gave them another try today. They said my order would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived and was told it would be another 10 minutes. After waiting for another 30 minutes they asked my name again and said it would be up next. Finally another 10 minutes later it was done. The food is good but I wouldn’t have waited that long for it.

Great variety, tons to choose from. Really like the online app too. Employees where friendly, easy to communicate with and attentive. Restaurant is nice and clean. Loved the additional selection of Ramune too.
Food was VERY tasty. Great quality. Really enjoyed it! Little on the sweet side but still super enjoyable. All four of our kids give it 5 stars and so do us adults!

Food is terrible. Haven’t found anything worth getting again. Not even slightly impressed or pleased. This place is awful. Rice has no flavor, ordered chow mein and my dish had zero noodles. Also ordered friend dumplings and they didn’t include them in the bag. Waste of space for a restaurant in waterloo, needs to be replaced w something actually worth going to

Went into the restaurant on their 2nd day open for business, sit down at a table (it was dirty), looked at the menu and waited for a server. No one came or even looked like they were considering coming. We were completely ignored. The staff preferred to continue answering the phone and taking to go orders instead of taking care of customers in the restaurant. We won’t be going back any time soon and we won’t be ordering to go either!
Update 11/18/2020, my wife insisted we get a to go order from this place, the food was average, nothing to brag about.

Place is very good and friendly. Another review gave one star and made a comment about the place not coming to take their order. I didnt take it as a place that came to your table and took your order and plus it’s during a pandemic. We have been twice and it was all orders to go.
