The food was cooked to order. Good and hot and plenty of it. Unfortunately, The pork fried rice was very bland. We would return again. Good food for the money.

We have picked up China King’s food before and the lady is always kind of rude. Today I called to order and I asked for some different veggies in mine to which she yelled, “No, no more!” And hung up the phone on me. I called back and simplified my order adding an extra Chicken fried rice. I went to pick it up and she had added the rice to something else in my bag. So I told her I needed a separate order of it. She treated me like an idiot showing me my receipt but I told her what I needed. She rung me up and threw my card in my direction, I had to catch it from falling from the counter, she slammed the receipt down for me to sign and went into her kitchen slamming things around and talking in what seemed an angry tone. There is a language barrier but I have always been respectful. This time is just too much. I won’t be coming back to this restaurant for a very long time, if at all. My order was over $50 and I was a customer, I should not have been treated this way.
I have not tried this order of food yet but usually it is pretty good with the rangoons being a hit or miss.

Ordered orange chicken, crab Rangoon, and vegetable fried rice. All 6 crab rangoon were basically empty. The orange chicken was hard and dry inside. Orange sauce had a weird smell.. rice was hard like undercooked.
Truly disappointed, drove a couple hours and all I wanted was this meal while I was near MQT.
The lady was rude when I ordered but I gave her the benefit of doubt because they seemed to be a little busy with pick up orders.. so wasn’t planning on even mentioning it. But since my food was overly disappointing I felt it should be mentioned.
I’m sure other days they have good food, but I must have not been on a good day for them..

Great food, ordered fried dumplings, kung pao chicken, and sesame chicken to go. It was great. Food was hot and ready for us when we arrived to pick it up. Service is fast and no nonsense.

Made a pickup order, asked specifically on the phone if combo platters came with egg rolls. I was told yes. Get the food home all of our crab Rangoons were empty. No filling at all like they were overcooked. We got spring rolls, not egg rolls, “fried rice” tasted like buttered white rice. I ordered sesame chicken and it was basically just coated in sweet and sour sauce with some sesame seeds on top. My husband and kids got sweet and sour chicken and the sauce was so off. Tasted almost vinegary and old. Just an overall bad and gross experience. Will not be ordering from there again.

I didn’t know what to order and I was asked about the orange chicken. The receptionist was so friendly and told me about the aunthenticy and the use of the orange peels in the sauce. I have never ever ever tasted something so amazing. It is literally an explosion of flavor in my mouth each bite. The serving size is definitely worth the price. They also have cute anime and animal kid chop sticks and we’re kind enough to find me a Pokemon one. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

Ordered Vegetable LoMein. The lady working the counter was very friendly. And this LoMein is perfect! Huge portions and only a ten minute wait. YUM!

Ordered vegetable Lo Mein, lunch sesame chicken and crab rangoons. Absolutely hot and delicious, large portions and prepared fast!!! The staff was friendly when I picked up my order. 5 out of 5 stars for Ishpeming China King!!!

Food was excellent as well! How are people complaining that they give a lot of food at the same price as a McDonald’s value meal? Chicken was tender and the vegetable lo mein is one of our favorites.
I highly recommend you try the China King. The food is good- I would not say the best there is out there- but it’s a wonderful thing to have in Ishpeming and the prices are unbelievably great!
Still five stars!

I called and ordered vegetable LoMein with extra mushrooms and vegetable fried rice. My food was ready in only ten minutes, the counter person was extremely friendly and the price is unbelievably good- only $15.23 and it’s enough for two adults to eat twice! Make sure to tip well- even with a $5 tip it’s only slightly above $20.
The food was hot, and perfectly done. They really loaded up the veggies which were fresh. The fried rice was flawlessly done as well; no hard rice pieces and very flavorful!
I rate China King 10/10. I have always had an extremely pleasant experience here and the staff / food / ease of location to pickup the food is great!

I called to place an order for Vegetable LoMein, and Broccoli Chicken. The woman who answered the phone was polite. She told me it would only be about ten minutes.
When I arrived, and entered, all safety protocols were being followed. I paid and made my drive home.
The food is wonderful! It was piping hot, very fresh, and flavorful. The broccoli had a crispness to it, and the portions are made for giants. After two of us ate, we each still have more than a meal left!
My China King Ishpeming Rating:
Service: 5/5 they are always so friendly to me 🙂
Price: 5/5 the meals are portioned very, very large for under $10. I don’t know anyone who could finish one entree in a single sitting. Wonderful!
Food: 5/5 I have taken out China Kong at least 30 times over the years. Every single time I have enjoyed it. You will, too! I have tried many different dishes, and they are all tasty here.
Overall: 5/5 China King Ishpeming is a very friendly, very great asset to our area.

Honestly, just take the few extra minutes and go to Marquette for Chinese food. The chicken was chewy and almost a mushy consistency. Only really good things about the chicken dishes were the vegetables and peanuts. Egg rolls and crab rangoons were decent, at least. And if the food had been decent, then the portions would’ve been nice too. But since the portions were so big, the food wasn’t cooked right.
Service was pretty good. Nothing to complain about there. Yeah, the staff was yelling at one another, but it was all part of the experience.
To conclude, just go to the Hong Kong Buffet in Marquette, pay almost $15, and get better quality food with the possibility of dessert
