My sister & I came to eat at China Jade Horse around 4pm on a Sunday. I wasn’t packed at all which was awesome, maybe three other parties.
We got the potstickers as an app. They were delicious & loved how they were crunchy on the outside – it was my first time having them. We collectively ordered mongolian beef & veg chow mein. They were both good & we enjoyed it.
The lady that sat us, took our order, & served us was really nice. Our total came out to be $41 which isn’t bad.

The staff were very friendly. This was our first visit to this restaurant, we always try to go into our first visit with moderate expectations while hoping to get pleasantly surprised. We ordered pretty standard dishes where we knew what to expect. General Tso’s Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken plus pot stickers. We didn’t like the food enough to bring the plentiful leftovers home. The Generals Chicken had a Tabasco sauce vinegar taste, quite strange. It was different than every Generals Chicken I’ve ever had and not really in a good way. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was also nothing like other Sweet and Sour Chicken we’ve experienced and again not in a great way. We appreciated the attentive service but the food was only on par with store bought frozen food.

China Jade Horse has been here for 20 YEARS! I came here maybe 15 years ago and didn’t go back, cause I found other fave places in Carson. But now I decided to go back after seeing on the menu some dishes no one else offers in Carson. If you stay in business 20 years, you gotta be doing something right!
The Szechuan spicy Eggplant with minced pork served in a sizzling claypot was insanely off the charts good. It’s $17.98 but worth it. This is one of the super authentic Chinese dishes they have. Prices are sort of expensive compared to some Chinese joints in town, but the food is above the rest here. Also had the Shrimp with scrambled eggs, not you usual American Chinese dish, but wow, was this good, I never had eggs taste so good before!
Service is polite and no communication probs at all.

This place is awesome! Our food came out fast, fresh, and hot. The chicken chow main and egg drop soup are to die for. The service is outstanding and the staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend!!!

Just tried the Curry Beef lunch special! It was better than expected. Nice mild curry flavor, not overpowering. Came with soup and chow mein and some appetizers. I’ll get this one again.
This little hole in the wall joint is really worth coming to. They have all the American lunch specials, but they also have some real good ala carte dishes.
I had the Green Beans and Chicken with black bean sauce. OMG that was the most tender chicken I ever had in a Chinese restaurant. It wasn’t chewy at all like a lot of other places serve. The sauce was perfectly balanced.
Also ordered was the potstickers. They were browned beautifully and the filling was good, but the skins were just a bit thick. We ate them all though. Someone ordered egg rolls at our table and yeah, I’d skip those, kinda small and not so good compared to other places in town. One of the few misses here, but overall , I’d say Jade Horse is well worth coming to.

I ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce. There is no lobster in this dish, it’s jus tnamed that cause the sauce was served with Lobster some time ago, but now it’s just the same sauce, but served with shrimp. It’s sort of an eggy clear yellow sauce that is very good. I like this dish, get it! Also had the war won ton, it’s wonton soup with everything added, like a full combo pizza with everything on it. This had shrimp, beef and chicken and lots of yummy wontons. Jade horse is worth coming to. Parking is easy.

My go-to anytime I visit a Chinese restaurant for the first time is the Mongolian beef. It did not disappoint. Perfect tenderness and perfect amount of spice. I look forward to returning

Best Chinese near Topsy lane. Pork tofu is a standout but everything is very nicely done with good ingredients and thoughtful cooking.

We really like coming here! Before COVID, we would sit-in with our baby and the staff was always really nice! It is a welcoming, family-friendly place. I like that they have really affordable and delicious lunch specials. I get the shrimp and vegetables a lot, but we also like the Mongolian Beef, the Cashew Chicken, and the Szechuan Tofu with Minced Pork. The take-out right now is still good! It’s one of my favorite places to eat Chinese food in our area.

As a former business owner, I was quite impressed with the service we received at this modest little restuarant. The waitstaff was very attentive and the food was good. I enjoyed the Sweet & Sour Pork and the Fried Rice.
