The food was good. I wish I didn’t look at everything going on in their cooking area. They could use a good cleaning. Also hat’s & hairnets are not worn. They could also use some rubber gloves and better hand washing practices. The sad part is they are not the worse that I’ve seen. But if you have a strong stomach and can overlook their methods they are serving tasty takeout.

Was looking for a good Chinese restaurant near our house and we decided to give this a try. The food was really good. Hot and fleshly made.

Pretty good American style Chinese food. Well made, not overly greasy. The food was nice and hot when I got it. I would definitely go back. Just keep in mind it’s cash only!

This place is the best Chinese Restaurant I had ever bought from!! Hands down 5⭐’s!!!! Prices are very reasonable and the portion size you get is awesome! When I buy myself a combination meal, it gives me 3 days worth of meals, lol. Food also tastes GREAT! The workers etc are extremely friendly and fast too!!!!!

I have been going to the China House since they open. I went there on Wednesday May 10th, 23. I went to the China House to get a small Shrimp Fried Rice, they tried to give me an order that was already sitting there. I told them I wanted my food fresh, they put my order in but the cook was coming from outside and came into the kitchen to prepare my food he picked up the shrimp and started to put in the wok. I said how can you come from outside and not clean your hands. So I asked for my money back. I will never return to China House again

Chinese is my top two favorite dishes, with that being said it was horrible. Everything tasted / looked weird!!! Shrimp broccoli & rice , chicken wings , shrimp roll. the rice didn’t even taste like Chinese rice , it tasted Ike some rice I overcooked & made myself. Definitely my first & last time ordering from this place.

I’ve been coming here for about 10 years now. It’s like the best Chinese take out in south Philly. No matter what time of the day you go they’re always busy. We love their fried chicken wings, sesame chicken, shrimp and broccoli. We used to go a lot more often before covid then we’ve notice since covid the prices went up like crazy. We used to be able to get 4 wings and fried rice platter for like $6 but about 2 months or so ago we went and paid $12.50 for 5 wings with no fried rice which is a bit steep. Their lunch special used to be like $6 now it went up by about 20-25% post covid and I’ve also notice the shrimps are much smaller in sizes. Flavor wise it’s still as good but I feel like if you going to charge more at least give me the same size shrimp. Don’t charge more and give less that’s just not right.

One of the best in Philly! After almost 6 years, searching for good Chinese American food, we found China House No.5. I think I almost cried when I took a bite of the boneless spare ribs and the fried rice. The hot and sour soup wasn’t what I was used to, but it was so good! The spice and sour balanced so well! The quality is pretty amazing and although a bit pricier than some of the Chinese Restaurants nearby but so worth it! Cannot wait to go back!
