The lady that took my order was nice and the cooks were busy making fresh food for a few customers. Dining area was clean as I waited for my to go order. My food was hot and they gave me good size portions. The problem was the food itself. The cashier asked if I wanted it Spicy and I said yes. It was not spicy. In fact it had hardly any sauce on it at all.
The chicken pieces were very dry. General Tso’s comes with pineapple and green peppers. There was one piece of pineapple and one piece of green pepper and one piece of broccoli. I ended up putting sweet and sour sauce that I had packets of from another restaurant from before because it was so dry and tasteless.
The fried rice was also bland and I added soy sauce to. The noodles were fat which I thought would make them taste better , but nope , the same tasteless and not very good. I added soy sauce to it too. I was starving so I ate a little over half and threw the rest away. I would not recommend coming here.
sweet and sour pork- sweet and tasty with the bell peppers, onions and pineapple.
cashew chicken- the zucchini, celery everything was so savory and chopped so you can have a piece of everything in every bite. And all those cashews
All flavors were so amazing.
Comes with steamed rice.
So much food we were able to save some for later.
The service was amazing. Our waitress was nice and didn’t even write down our oder and got everything we ordered.
I want to try everything on the menu. This is definitely a family favorite. We got to share everything.
23) Combination Fried Rice (5/5) was very flavorful and has a umami feel without being overbearing in soy sauce or just saltiness. The little bits of BBQ pork, shrimp, and chicken adds a difference in texture and flavor as you eat the rice. While the mouth feel was fine, it did leave a film of oil on the plate underneath so we know it’s cooked with a bit more oil than we would prefer
L4) Beef Pepper Steak lunch special with fried rice, chow mein, and soup of the day (4/5). The small egg drop soup with corn was appreciated since it was so cold outside. Unfortunately, the fried rice and chow mein wasn’t nearly as good as the combination fried rice. This fried rice was a lot more plain and the noodles were very oily. The beef pepper steak came with a healthy amount of bell peppers that were sweet and offset the slightly too salty protein. Overall, still a good dish but nothing too special.
Ambience: 5/5 – very clean shop for the dining area but a bit of clutter with equipment and boxes in the kitchen and the side of the restaurant. Kitchen noises are very prominent with no music. Pretty consistent calls for to-go orders. The open kitchen does let you watch the chef and his wok skills are impressive!
Service: 5/5 – friendly but to the point. At one point in time, she was managing multiple phone calls, pick up orders, and the tables in the shop at the same time
Value for price: 5/5 – the items cooked to order were great but the batch fried rice and chow mein was not too impressive. Still, great value for the amount of food we got!
