China Gourmet is the best Chinese takeout on the south side hands down!! The lo-mein noodles are always the perfect texture, the price is so reasonable and it’s always fresh. It’s so underrated and well worth a try. You won’t regret it.

It was my first time trying this wonderful place today. As soon as I walked in it was a friendly man helping me with my selections. They got right back there and made it fresh. I absolutely love the orange chicken it’s crispy and full of flavor. I also loved the shrimp fried rice and lo Mein noodles which is everything I got. The lady brought it to me with a smiling face. The food does not disappoint. Don’t listen to negative reviews try for yourself.

We order steak and chicken dinners. Steak was slimy and rubbery, did not taste like any beef or steak I’ve ever had. The sauce that it was in was good but the actual meat was questionable. My sister ordered general tsos chicken and again the sauce that they were in was good but the actual chicken was very hard to chew and felt like plastic. None of us were able to finish our meals. Money wasted. Only thing I would recommend is their crab ragoons, they were hot and delicious( its kind of hard to mess up crab ragoons)

This is our favorite Chinese food spot in all of Beech Grove and maybe all of Indy. It’s very unassuming, but usually the great places are. The service is always top notch and the food has never disappointed. Highly recommend this place for great take out!

I got honey chicken, sesame chicken, crab rangoons, beef and broccoli, and beef lo mein. The chicken was hard, dry, and stringy barely had any sauce on it and the sauce that it did have was thick and stuck at the bottom of the container. There was barely any filling in the Rangoons and they were overcooked. Overall a complete letdown. Absolutely terrible quality for $60. The only good part of this experience was the dishes containing beef instead of chicken. They were actually pretty decent. I will not be returning.

The first time I went there they asked if I was eating here or taking it out (which there is only one table) but we ate there and they brought they food out to us which I thought was so sweet and even took our trash. The food is definitely cooked fresh and they care about their customers. So good.
