Shrinkflation has reached my Chinese food.
Ordered online for delivery. Food came on time and the delivery guy was nice. But…
Everything came in smaller containers than other places I ordered. It was oddly to scale and I thought I was imagining things. But I got some of those black circle containers with the clear lids from another Chinese food place… This place was substainly smaller. I felt tricked as the rice cardboard boxes felt smaller to scale too. Wouldn’t be a problem if it didn’t cost just as much as other places. Buyer beware. Normally I have left over Chinese, this place had none. I would say they are serving lunch sizes for dinner.
I must say the food was all very tasty and decent quality. Shame as I would have made this my go to if it wasn’t for the portion cutting corners.

A good place for Chinese food in Dale City
This restaurant is located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Dale Blvd and Minnieville Road. It is in a reasonably large set of stores in the middle of the group of businesses. The parking is uncovered parking lot that all the stores directly open onto. There is plenty of parking for all the stores in this lot. Our group ordered takeout from this location and I picked it up. The inside of the restaurant had a large foyer at the front of the restaurant that seemed to occupy about ⅓ of the space. There were about 6 booths lining the walls and several tables in the central seating area. There were not many people eating in the dining area but they had a healthy stream of customers picking up takeout. There did not seem to be much staff but the ones present were very friendly. The food was a little late from the time that they told us it would be ready. The food was reasonably priced and portion sizes were good. The food was very good. Overall, for the price, amount, and staff friendliness, I would visit this location in the future and recommend it to fellow travelers with the suggestion that the time the food will be ready should be viewed as an approximation. Enjoy.

This food was/is amazing. The portions are great and the taste was excellent. Hands down the best Chinese food in the area. The owner said one last thing before I walked away with my food. We had spoken about how I had never eaten here before and she replied ” I hope you come back”. I with complete confidence say “you bet I will”. Thank you so much

Wonderful restaurant. I’m so lucky it’s in my neighborhood. I usually get Kung Pao Chicken, but their hot and sour soup and Singapore Noodles are also divine.

Do everyone know prices are high enough without them asking gor a tip for delivery
A tip – let me explain, is extra for doing a good job (you’re not suppose to ask for it!)
It’s up to the person paying
I don’t like being asked it’s like begging and you don’t have to give one it seems they think you do I think I’ll just drive next time
2 orders $36.00

This place is OLD SCHOOL Chinese complete with a full tiki drink menu! Just like in the 1950s! So cool and the food was great! I had the curry with chicken and fried rice and just about blew myself up because I couldn’t stop eating it.

Such a rude delivery person! A few months ago we ordered from them and when it was delivered, he made a rude comment about how we hadn’t tipped him enough. I haven’t ordered from there in a long time because I was so put off by it. I accidentally ordered from them again tonight, rather than the place I have moved on to, and when my mother-in-law answered the door, she was given the same nasty response. That he had complained to “the owners” before that we were bad tippers. I understand that times are tough, and gas might be higher than it was a few years ago, but if your delivery fee doesn’t cover your gas, then that’s a conversation you need to have with the owners. It’s not the responsibility of the customer to pay your wages with tips. If 10% is not enough, then take the 10% tipping option off or change the delivery area to be a smaller range if you can’t afford the gas. 15% tip is standard in a restaurant where you’re receiving personalized attention throughout your meal. 10% is a reasonable amount for delivering the food. Not everybody can afford to leave huge tips. I definitely won’t ever be ordering from this restaurant again.

Crab Rangoons are better at China Gourmet than at anywhere else! Nice and big, perfectly fried and with the perfect touch of sweetness.

A neighbor recommended this place two years ago. We had their food late 2020 and it was okay and the price was reasonable.
4/2023 we ordered again and it was dreadful. The fried rice was hard, crunchy, and appeared to be a reheat. One order of pork fried rice had a lot of expected ingredients, while the other three were just orangish/yellow rice with no pork or vegetables added. The Orange Chicken tasted burnt and had to be thrown out. The Low Mein and Sweet & Sour Pork was not good. $80 for unhappy children and stomach aches. Go somewhere else.
