Wish I would have read the actually reviews and the dates prior to ordering but just went with the overall star rating and gave it a shot! BIG MISTAKE.. I usually do not waste the time to write a “bad review” but I would like to save the next victim their time and money if possible! Somewhat difficult to order there was a clear language barrier between me and the gentleman on the phone (not a deal breaker though) the prices have not been updated from their online menu so there is roughly a $2/3 difference on each menu item which is a little frustrating. My biggest issue was the actual food itself.. I ordered the lunch special Mongolian beef with rice as well as the hunan beef with rice and two shrimp egg rolls. Kind of hard to explain the taste of the beef but it taste as if it was boiled in water. Unsure how better to explain it but was very weird! Then every item had the same odd chemical after taste! To say the least I didn’t finish any of the food and threw it away with a fear of possible food poisoning. 24 hours later and I’m still alive and well so that’s a plus haha! Definitely the worst Chinese food I have ever had though so be aware!

I called to place an order for myself and my coworkers and the gentleman on the phone was extremely rude. He was short tempered and he hung up before I could place the second order. When I called back, the same gentleman begang to yell at me saying that I was taking too long. Even though the good is good the service over the phone was undeniably the worse I have ever received. We should petition to the better business Bureau because this is not how we do customer service in the USA!

If I could give negative stars I would in a heartbeat! I specifically ordered the #10 Bar-B-Q Spare Ribs (5) Sm $6.95, a #3 Shrimp Egg Roll $1.40, and #25 Special Combination Plate of Shrimp Lo Mein with Pork Fried Rice, and Egg Roll, for $7.99. I received the Spare Ribs and Shrimp Egg Roll, but I got the wrong meal – #25 Shrimp Chow Mein with White Rice & Crispy Noodles (No Egg Roll), priced at $5.75. I never got the difference back in money I paid for my order. I tried to call them, to let them know their error, and THEY HUNG UP ON ME! I called back and asked for the manager, and the guy who answered said (in very broken English), “We no give you anymore food, don’t call here again,” and again hung up on me! The people are thieving little wretches. Needless to say I won’t be ordering from them ever again. If you’re wise, you will avoid them at all costs!

I have ordered Chinese food from CHINA GOURMET for many years. For the most part I’ve been very 0leased with the quality, taste and reasonable price of the food. Today we ordered and I in particular wanted to try something different (it’s been years since I’ve had this selection) so I ordered MOO SHU VEGETABLES. Before when I ordered this item it was shredded cabbage, bean sprouts, mushrooms, peppers and onions in a semi-sweet brown sauce. I was to be accompanied by “PANCAKES” (which always before were small flat omelette like pancakes in which you would roll the veggies into an “egg roll” type thing. Anyway, the main course was nothing more than shredded cabbage. No other veggies at all. It was kind of stir fried in the most disgusting flavor I’ve ever experienced. The pancakes were four Mexican like flour tortillas! It was actually no edible. This is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed. Maybe just a bad day on their part, but my food went directly into the garbage!

My second favorite thing is the atmosphere. It’s a little place not really made to acomadate a large “eat in” but if you want to order good inexpensive Chinese and get the H€|_|_ out! it’s perfect. If you’re the type that thinks you need to speak to a manager every time I assure you he doesn’t care. Go get your spinach artichoke dip comped somewhere else. 10/10 will be back.

China gourmet on dual highway, one of my favorite places for many years will no longer receive my business. They delivered to the wrong address and charged my card and now won’t refund my money. They are saying because someone signed for it they can’t refund my money. I’m calling the bank to cancel the charge but still, that’s some shady customer service ♀️

Can’t really tell you how the food is because when I called I ended up getting hung up on 4 times! Man who was “taking” my order was extremely rude and just repeatedly hung up on me when I was trying to give my order. First time I was first informed of a 13 dollar delivery minimum so I was trying to add more to my order to reach that when I was hung up upon, when I called back he hung up when I started speaking. Following that I tried to call to speak to a manager and I was told “we won’t serve you don’t call here” and was hung up on again and forth time I mentioned I was just trying to order and was chastised with “what don’t you understand about we’re busy? (was not mentioned prior at all) don’t call here” and hung up again. So if there’s some secret method to getting your order in then maybe I’m missing it but I couldn’t even place an order.

This place was one of my favorites to order from. After this evening never again will i order or step foot in this restaurant. Order came to little over $37.00 and ask the gentleman if he had an approx delivery time. I didnt understand if he said 25 or 45min. I excused myself for not hearing him and he went ballistic. ” I already told you 45 min cant you understand F***ER ” Ask him what he called me. Then go on cursing me out more and telling me call someone else dont call back. With that attitude im very surprising he still around. Then on top of that i get a notification that my credit card has been charged. Wow must still be charging for orders taken and not delivered for his business suffering from his rudeness.

This is very small family owned take out restaurant. I am very picky about my Chinese food because of allergies. I discovered this place and is the only place for me to get Chinese. The owner is very nice. Food prices are decent and the food is very tasty. I hope they stay open forever.

I will never call here again. I asked about a meal and the guy lost cool telling me they didn’t have lemon chicken. I tried to tell him what I wanted and he yelled at me in another language and hung up. FREAKING WOW. so I called back and he yelled at me from the get get go and then hung up again. Outraged at this I called again. They must have caller ID cause he picked up and cursed me out this time in english. No chance to talk to a manager here. STAY AWAY! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!
