Clean. Amazing service. Our server was very attentive with keeping our drinks filled, the food came out quickly and perfectly. It tasted so delicious. We moved from cedar springs and couldn’t find a new place to replace our usual go to. We decided to give China Garden a try and do not regret it! We will definitely we’re going back. Even our kids enjoyed it. 10/10 all around.

This place is such a hidden gem. They have the biggest menu I have ever seen at a Chinese restaurant. Let me first say, I write tons of reviews and am a true foodie! I eat at a restaurant at least once a week and I am not talking about fast food. Looks are deceiving, I will say this place could use a renovation and some upgrades. But that aside, the food here is second to none. Everything is cooked to perfection. And with a menu this large, that is not an easy task. Please give this place a try. The servers could use some training on how to properly talk to a customer, as the one gentleman who has been a server there as long as I can remember talks with street lingo which has no place at a restaurant in my opinion. But in his defense, I will say he is a really great server and does pay attention to all your needs. So at the end of the day he still gets a great review from me. I have tried about 30 different dishes here and have never been dissatisfied or disappointed. I even brought a friend here who is a Chinese restaurant owner himself and he was impressed with the menu and great food. Last time here, I got fried Pot Stickers with beef, Crispy Duck, and Shrimp Fried Rice. Here are some pictures. So please, give this place a try.

Fantastic food & service! Don’t sit by a window or the door though in winter months, quite chilly. I loved that they serve in beautiful dinner ware. This place has been voted best Asian restaurant in mid- Michigan so many times the wall is over flowing with awards! Easy parking and access to building. Peking duck served here also with 24° notice!

Went in there to get my take order on Christmas for a late night meal to share with my boyfriend. I walked in there and was greeted with a worker talking VERY loudly about how someone threw up on the mirror in the bathroom and was muttering about how disgusting the place is so I asked to cancel my order and they told me no. I then left the restaurant and called them instead and was hung up on when I asked for a refund. I refuse to eat at a place where workers are talking about how uncleanly and unsanitary the restaurant is… then I do not get my money back for their overpriced beef and broccoli.

I went to China Garden with my dad a short while before they closed. I felt bad because they looked like they were already cleaning up but they told us to sit down and we had the most amazing dinner! Our server was extremely kind and gave us a great recommendation on what to try. Thank you China Garden Restaurant for accommodating us! We will definitely be back!

Ordered Sinagapore rice noodles, a spicy curry dish. What I found after arriving home was a completely unseasoned pile of noodles, shrimp, chicken, and vegetables. Absolutely no seasoning whatsoever, none. When I called to try to get my money back, not wanting to spend the gas to drive all the way back for a replacement, I was offered a $5 coupon for my next visit. The noodles cost $10.75. I won’t be back.

This is currently my favorite place in Mt. Pleasant. I have always gotten good service there for lunch or dinner, the staff is friendly to a fault. And the food is usually very good. I say usually because I have come to learn that they have one cook in the back who is AMAZING and makes the best wonton soup broth with a good hit of ginger. Unfortunately on the days he is not cooking the food can be a little hit or miss when it comes to layered flavors, especially anything spicy or ginger based.
