This is primarily my nearby go-to for boba tea. The food is always delicious despite it being an Americanized experience, their spicy wontons are my favorite to order. Music isn’t obnoxiously loud like other places I’ve experienced and the service is very quick and attentive to any of your needs and wants. My only true complaint is that it’s a little too dimly lit inside and parking can be a bit of a pain. All that said, I highly recommend giving this place a try, the people here are very enjoyable to talk with.

This is by far the best Chinese I have had in Louisville. The crab Rangoon is the best I have ever had anywhere! The general chicken is the best I have ever had anywhere! The egg rolls are the best in Louisville! I will be back…a lot!

What yesterday to dine-in, food did not taste like the first time. We ever had in the hot and sour soup was not hot on it taste like dirty cabbage. The young man waiting on us was kind of rude and short it seemed like we were a burden. kung pao chicken had no heat to it at all though it said on the menu that it was spicy the best thing that’s there that’s consistent is the lady that works there is super nice and friendly and the crab rangoons – the rest was very disappointing.

I came here as a kid and it was really good and still looks the same! The Sweet and sour chicken was very good the peppers could have been done a little bit more softer but overall good. The pineapples were so good with the sauce. And so was the crab Rangoon it was wonderful for the price. I also enjoyed the little crispy noodles. My 1 complaint they should really work on is their fried rice. They charge $2 extra per plate for fried rice and it was very dry no veggies in it really and no flavor. You used to get it and it would be flavorful and steaming hot. Just needs some work considering rice is the main thing in Chinese food. Overall good experience besides the rice. Hopefully they work on it and we can try it again soon.

This is a special gem for Chinese food. The portions were big, the chicken chunks were big, very delicious general tsos. The crab Rangoon wasn’t my favorite, too much cream cheese for me personally but the people I were with liked it. Very good egg rolls and decently priced.

I ordered Seafood Delight and asked to cook in Garlic Sauce instead of White. They happily obliged. It was absolutely delicious. Their food, their friendly service, and prices are great. I will return and will recommend.

I, like many others, have been going to China Garden for 40 years and loved it! My husband and I ate there often and so enjoyed their shrimp cashew and egg rolls. Their hot mustard and sweet/sour sauce was the best! Boy were we surprised this week when we ordered our “usual” order. The rice was ORANGE and tasted like cardboard. The shrimp looked like popcorn shrimp instead of the large tiger shrimp they used to have and it was filled with all kinds of baby cornlettes. The eggrolls had little inside them and they gave us duck sauce instead of sweet and sour sauce. That sauce was terrible and not edible! I wish I had read the reviews about the new owners because it would have saved us $, but we will not be going back. I hate it because it was the best Chinese in town, but unfortunately, now it may be the very worst! So sad and I doubt they will stay around very long with the poor food quality! They need to go back to the previous owner’s recipes, if possible!

I’ve been coming there since 1982 and one of my favorites I always order is the Egg Drop Soup, it has always been a light yellow and delicious.
Last night we came in for pickup and it has an orange tint and full of grease around the rim of my soup cup and no real flavor.
I hope you can go back to the original recipe.

Long a reliable fixture in Sunny Downtown Okolona for sit down Chinese food, China Garden has toughed out the Covid-19 pandemic as a carry out restaurant. Recently, if you check in at the old entrance, lately used as a carry out pick up location, or perhaps call in first, they will open the locked door on the south side of the building and seat you for table service. (Yes, you have to walk around the front from the other door on the north side to get there.) It lends an air of the old era of the speak easies in gangster land Chicago where you had to know the right person to get in. Well worth the effort.
The food and menu are the familiar comfort Chinese we have long expected here, and after so long an absence it sure feels great to chow down to a good plate dinner of San Shen Kuoba, puffed crispy rice, topped with chicken, beef, pork and shrimp. While listed as a spicy dish, it was only a little warm in the mouth, but satisfying. If you like heat, go ahead and ask for a little more.
They take pride in their hand made egg rolls which actually have cabbage that is still a little green, a rarity these days in the Chinese restaurant milieu. Regrettably not so in the spring rolls we had. I won’t go into exact prices except to say that, yes, they’re up. That they are able to continue business in the present environment certainly earns them the right to a little profit.
A shared single dinner with two Diet Cokes, an extra spring roll and an extra cup of their excellent hot sour soup brought the total within kissing distance of 30 bucks, not including the tip. The spare, but hard working crew deserved a good one, too.
