While we’ve stopped here a few times since living here, I hadn’t yet taken the time to post a review to my website, so fixing that now. This most recent stop was to meet a friend from Church after work and it turned out to be a great meeting spot.
I started with the Hot Skinny B*/ch (see picture) and as the name implies, the jalapeno tequila and additional sliced jalapenos gave it a good spicy kick! I loved it…but if you aren’t into the stronger jalapeno burn, you might not enjoy it as much as I did.
For our dinner, we started with an order of Southwest Egg Rolls (see picture) and then each of us ordered some Wings (see picture). While ideally I would have preferred that both orders not be fried as much as they were, both were still quite tasty and above average pub food.

We stopped here for lunch today and all of us enjoyed the food. I ordered the Knock-U-Out Chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries (see picture). It was spicy, yet flavorful – not just burn and nicely paired with toasted jalapeno cheddar bread. The sweet potato fries were also good – crispy outside, yet moist and delicious inside. I would definitely stop here again and would highly recommend the Knock-U-Out Chicken sandwich.

Fun place with vibrant atmosphere. Service is always great and the food is freshly made and delicious! I had the steak salad and the meat was tender and cooked how I like. The chicken Caesar Salad looks filling and the club was satisfying! We also had the amazing pretzel sticks and cheese curds as well as an unsecured burger. We will be back!

Come often and today was not a good time. Food was nowhere near the usual good eats. Ordered the Graziano dip and very watered down. Ordered shrimp jammers and came out dark brown, old oil in fryer. Ordered the Rachel and was 1/2 eaten and rest thrown out. Not good tonight. Won’t be back for awhile. Only a few customers there. Food was not good.

Had their brunch on Sunday. Food was good but friends loaded hash browns were very minimal for the $11 charge. I had biscuits and gravy that was very good but I had bacon too for the same price as hers. I felt as well as her this was a good value. Will go back but try lunch or dinner.

I went after work on a Monday, there were 3 people who were definitely drunk and very loud. The pretzels were really good. They have Pepsi (yes, thats a deal breaker for me). Its an ok place if Im meeting someone for a drink.

Bar Review: Catfee’s in Waukee
I had an absolutely terrific time at Catfee’s in Waukee! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had stepped into my new Cheers—the kind of place where everyone’s friendly, the drinks are poured just right, and the atmosphere is nothing short of fantastic.
The bartenders and servers were top-notch—attentive, fast, and full of personality. They know how to keep the energy up and make sure everyone is having a great time. But what really made the night special was the crowd. The customers were hilarious, fun to hang with, and made me feel like a regular from the start.
If you’re looking for a bar where you can kick back, have a laugh, and enjoy some great company, Catfee’s is the place to be. I’ll definitely be back—probably sooner than later!

Food and drinks were very delicious! Our service was horrible – waitress ignored us to chat with patrons at the bar, she never checked on us while we ate or asked if we wanted more drinks, and we had to go find her to get our check so we could leave.
