100% the worst takeout food I’ve had of any kind. The crab Rangoon was so greasy and nasty. I’m pretty sure that’s why I got sick. Everything seemed to be off. It was like they crossed contaminated other dishes with what I ordered. This was takeout, but while sitting there the person at the register never looked up from their phone even when customers tried to pay, the phone was more interesting than the customer. There was only a couple people there but not one time did I see anybody refill a single drink or do anything. I actually threw up about 25 minutes after eating this. They had a really low food rating from the health department. I’ll never go back. It’s not worth anything. By the way the food on the buffet looked absolutely disgusting. It was old some of the things that changed colors where the air had gotten into it. Disgusting oh and the floors are really nasty. There was dirt in the corners the caulking around the hot bar of the floor look like someone I have Parkinson’s when doing it.

Great service food was fresh 10 to $20 per person. They now open up at 10:30. But all in all, a very, very good experience, we’ll be back fabulous

Very convenient, and nice people. It has a homely feel to it. Never had an issue with my orders. As with all buffets time of day and amount of people matter.

We got takeout paid $60 for 3 meals and it was by far the WORST Chinese food I’ve ever had tasted like if you made it with dollar tree items the imitation crab was mushy, the steamed chicken was by far the most flavorless disgusting chicken ever and the coconut chicken tasted like it was sour (spoiled) and the fried rice was hard! will not be returning even if I’m starving

China Garden in downtown Wetumpka has been our “go-to” for a dependable, delicious buffet for YEARS! This small family-operated business has offered a wonderful lineup of Chinese food for our city. The food is always fresh, and if something needs a refresher, they are always quick to refill to maintain a fresh variety. The staff is always friendly and the food is PHENOMENAL! 10/10 recommendation to anyone.

It’s always quiet. They had a fairly simple buffet but it’s very good. Excellent prices and the staff is very kind.

Still the best Chinese restaurant in Wetumpka. Small amounts of food are maintained on the bar to keep it fresh. They have always rapidly refilled the trays or provided special requests like white rice. The Japanese Chicken was delightful. Other items were competently prepared. I am very curious about the Philly Egg Rolls and not quite brave enough to order them.

Had a craving for some Chinese tonight and decided on this place since it was close to where I live. I’m basing this review on dine-in and the buffet. Upon first encounter of the buffet, what remained seemed a little sparse and some choices were empty. I got myself a sampling of each of several chicken dishes and unless I missed it somewhere, I didn’t see where each dish was labeled as to what it was. Again, I may have missed it. I also partook in some of the shrimp and a bowl of egg drop soup. The food from the buffet was ok but nothing to write home about. Being a buffet the food was warm but not hot. As stated earlier, the food on bar was a little sparse so I may have been in between a fresh batch coming out. In hindsight, I probably should have ordered from the menu rather than doing the buffet. The inside was clean but appeared to be outdated and it felt like the air conditioning just didn’t have enough umph to keep the place cool. There was only one person working the floor but the place is small and they appeared to be pretty attentive to the customers. On this occasion it satisfied my craving for Chinese and the buffet was just ok, but I will probably stick to the Montgomery area for my Asian cuisine cravings in the future.

My family of 5 went and it was awful. We had never been before this time and we will never be back. It was the worst restaurant experience we have ever had. We didn’t look at the buffet before we ordered our drinks or else we wouldn’t have stayed. The noodles that was on the bar were literally crusty. They didn’t refill anything that was empty. I had to walk up to the front to ask for a refill on my husbands drink. The man sitting at the front stayed on his phone the whole time and took multiple smoke breaks and came back in and didn’t wash his hands once. We were told kids 2 and under eat free but got charged for a 2 year old. My other two kids didn’t eat because everything on the bar looked and tasted disgusting. We spent $50 paying for 2 adults and a 2yo who only ate rice. We were also told that you get charged if you waste food. So if you get something and don’t like it they will charge you extra for not eating it. Do yourself a favor and drive to Prattville or literally anywhere else and get food.

I only eat here 2-3 times year, and it is always great (eat low carb, and this is my cheat meal). I usually take one little piece of everything I think I might like for my first small plate, then after that gorge on a plate and a half or so. My go tos are sweet and sour chicken, general tso and black pepper chicken. Black pepper being my favorite. Then of course the string green beans and broccoli are great, and the egg rolls. Mind you, I always eat there about right when they open so I can’t speak to if you come 1-2 hrs later, I can imagine that is where some of the negative reviews stem from, food just sitting out for a while. BTW, opening hours of 11am are not correct in google maps, they actually open at 10:30am. If you are an early bird like me, get there between 10:30 and 11:30 you will leave a five star review as well. The Chinese folks are really nice too.
