Love this place! My family has been going here since I was a little kid. The owner, Sue, is wonderful if you take even 5 seconds to chat with her. She is busy, they do a high volume of take out orders so she is often on the phone. They even have a youtube channel which is fun to watch. Just search for Sue and Gambo.
Fabulous egg rolls and won ton soup. Excellent everything really. Big chunks of chicken in their chicken dishes too. Overall great food and makes for excellent leftovers too!

Just moved into a nearby neighborhood, and decided to give China Dragon a try. It’s really hard to find good Chinese out in the ‘burbs (or at least Northwest). China Dragon tasted very fresh, the flavors were excellent. I would probably give it a 4.5 because the prices are a bit high – but it’s probably because I’m used to lower quality, cheap Chinese food. This is my new favorite Chinese spot, and I don’t mind paying the extra for fantastic takeout!!

Out here in Maple Grove you’re hard-pressed to find some decent chinese food, but China Dragon is actually pretty good. Remember that chow mein you grew up eating as a kid? They have it here, which is pretty hard to find. After having had to throw out more Chinese food away than I can count, it was actually nice to have some leftovers. And as someone else noted, if you take five minutes to chat with Sue she really is a kind person. I’m going to sorely miss this place when it closes.

Love China Dragon, as another has mentioned the owner is not very friendly but the young staff is great! Dispite that – the food is really good! Love the szechuan chicken & beef, the cream cheese wontons are the best I’ve ever had… anywhere, and the low-mein is really good too. Their food is always so fresh!

Pork fried Rice lacked flavor. It was the blandest Chinese food I have ever eaten. Also tried the Cashew Chicken. Same thing, very bland with not much flavor. They were kind enough to give me two little bags with a total of 6 cashews per bag. When I went to pay the lady said cash or check. Told he it wasn’t going to happen because I don’t carry cash and its not 1985. She took my card and scanned it. All around obvious attempt to cut corners as much as they could to up their profit. Never go back there again. Ish!!!
PS: $19.00 order, think they might have thrown in a couple of fortune cookies? Nope, cuts too much into the bottom line.

I wish there were negative star ratings. I can make better fried rice at home. It’s literally the worst fried rice I’ve ever tasted. Totally bland and mushy. If you want your Friday night ruined then order this garbage. If not then try Leann Chin. At least you will be remotely satisfied. Nasty.

I hardly ever review places I have been to but I am writing one for your safety. The food looked like dog food from a can. My stomach is not reacting well from the salty brown gelatin “food”. Fried rice was good though.

I have been going here since I was a kid. The food is consistent and fantastic. The staff is small and mostly family and fabulous. They are in an forgotten area of Maple Grove but take time to find them and I promise you will have a new favorite restaurant.

This is off the beaten track and the Chicken Chow Mein is over all good. It is a no frills kind of place and the lady who takes the payment doesnt have a lot of personality but the younger workers have always been great – only complaint no free pop refills – All n all it is the best in the area –
If you like Chiken Chow Mein it is worth it to head down to S Minneapolis to Bills Garden near the corner of 42nd street and 28th Ave. Again it is no frills and be fore warned on a Friday or Saturday during dinner time it will take up to 45 minutes to get your food – so i highly recomend going at an off peak time like late lunch. but the Chicken Chow Mein is awesome and i hear the fried rice is the best… “remember no frills” but good food…

Don’t believe anything negative you might read about the food. Anyone who would compare Leanne Chin to this restaurant should stick to eating KFC or McDonald’s. This is the only decent Chinese Restaurant in the area and one of the best I have ever been to.
