I had ordered vegetable Egg rolls from them before and they were okay. So In Ordered from them again a week later. I got the pineapple rice and egg rolls. The 1st day I ate some Rice, I got violently ill.n The 2nd day I thought I was safe because it was the life that was bad. I ate an egg roll same thing, 30 minutes later violently. Ill, so it was food poisoning. I give him a 0 if I could say never again from them. Flashlight

If you haven’t tried this place you need to. They have a very big selection of food. Very good all different kinds a way bigger variety than the other places in Belleville. Highly recommend recommended.

The food quality and taste is a hit or miss. Sometimes it tastes freshly cooked and at other times it tastes like frozen food reheated. The egg rolls are never good and I’m a big fan of them but I don’t order them here anymore. There aren’t many choices in the immediate area is the main reason why we order here but you just never know if it will be good or if you’ll end up throwing it away. Another restaurant was recommended by a coworker but it’s a little far but it’s worth the drive if you don’t want to take a chance here.

this is absolutely 100% my favorite restaurant in the entire world. the fried rice is so delicious i get it so often it’s the perfect meal. the sweet and sour chicken is perfectly fried and just tastes so good. the staff is always very friendly and service is great. everyone needs to come here and eat this fried rice i am obsessed with it. i’ve never had a bad experience with this food. i will be inviting every employee to my wedding and putting everyone in my will. i love you china city

I have never in my life gotten a bad dish from china city belleville. the seafood soup is to die for, and honestly, I would. the sweet and sour chicken is also amazing. I love the plants and the painting of the cranes inside, too.

Husband and I tired this place tonight for the first time, we choose it because it was the highest rating close to home so why not. Welp got a hair in my food. Husband called to get a refund lady over the phone got rude and loud to the point where I just grabbed the phone from my husband and asked why we couldnt recieved refund, her attitude changed real quick. Then she still refused and mentioned they can only exchange. I told them I didn’t want the food anymore. I’ve worked in food service this shouldnt happen and if it does there are so many chances to catch it before this point. I straight up told her I will not be returning she hung up.
Save your money. If their sloppy enough to let hair get in your food then a bunch of other health code violations are also going on.
Hair ties, hair nets, hats. Use them!! Clean off your shirts before cooking and making up to go boxes.

This used to be the best place around a few years ago, but now after today I won’t be going back. I got the general tso chicken with chicken fried rice, it doesn’t look like it used to and has a very weird flavor I can’t describe or figure out what it is however it is not pleasant at all, a complete waste of $13 I don’t waste food but this is going in the trash. The sweet donuts were alright though.

So many layers of disappointment. Started well with an online order system, though the only options for “spicy” dishes were either mild or very spicy… I chose very spicy. ASAP was 5:50, I chose 5:55, and when I arrived at 5:54, it was ready.
The “restaurant” has a decor consistent with a bad movie stereotype. What looked like a bedsheet separated the kitchen from the table being used as a counter.
The hot & sour soup was room temperature, and the flavor seemed dominated by soy sauce and oil. A microwave made it warmer, but enhanced the insanely salty flavor.
Egg roll had almost too much chicken, and little flavor other than grease, which was also a significant mess.
The General Tso chicken had been in its container long enough to gel into its shape. It was warmer than room temperature, but soggy, tasteless, and greasy. The chicken quality seemed good, but that was the only good note. It barely qualified as mild, and was definitely not “very hot”.

We ordered $60 worth of food. While service was fast, it did NOT make up for the tasteless mess we endured. Shrimp fried rice…minus shrimp. Kung Pao chicken and Curry Chicken tasted the EXACT same. Only difference was one has peanuts, the other had two or three green beans. Egg rolls were okay, but sweet and sour sauce was tasteless. Never again. I have also been sick to my stomach and shakey all day. I did not believe the reviews. Believe them!
