We placed our carry out order on 5:37 PM on Christmas Eve. The order included egg rolls, spring rolls, steamed pork dumplings, chicken fried rice, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, honey chicken, and beef in garlic sauce. We got there at pickup time (6:07), and we were told they needed 15 mins longer to finish our order. We did not receive order until 6:40 PM, even though it said on the website it would be ready by 6:07 (30 mins after placing order). Granted, we had a big order, but we were left waiting in the restaurant for 33 mins after the pickup time. We started opening the food (while still in the restaurant) to verify our order, when one of the women working at the restaurant came out with a printed sheet showing she checked off everything we ordered as they were putting it into the box. We trusted the order was correct after that. We got home with the food, and realized they forgot 1 of our 2 orange chicken orders, along with white rice. We didn’t get any sauce, either. One of my family members went back to get the orange chicken and white rice. When he walked in, the lady working knew right away what was forgotten and made it right. Everyone said the food was good! We just wish there would have been more transparency about the wait time for the food and that the order accuracy would have been on point.

I’ve given this restaurant a few chances as far as trying their food goes. I don’t know if it’s the time of night that is affecting the quality of China City’s food or is the food just not ever fresh! I say the time of day because I notice if I order after 9 pm we always get old, hard NOT FRESH FOOD! Are they trying to get rid of food that was cooked prior & didn’t sell & it’s close to closing time? It’s definitely refried hard & unacceptable! We won’t order from here no more unfortunately. Please be careful eating here!

I ordered inside around 530pm and was in and you in like 10 mins. And the food was hot and yummy. And the guys inside were so nice . I got egg drop soup. Plain lo mein and sesame chicken fried rice combo

The food was okay a little different from what we are used to. I had Tofu with vegetables and my wife had fried wontons with the House Lo Mein. The Lo Mein had sardines in House mix not used to that, not bad different.

The new owners have done a great job with this place. The food is excellent with many choices. Recently I ordered Szechuan Chicken. It was very fresh and delicious. The dining area is very clean and inviting. It is my new go to Chinese restaurant now.

The chicken was okay, egg fried rice is incredibly bland, there’s 6 tiny shrimp in my “pint” of lo mein. The lo mein is the biggest letdown, it’s greasy in a bad way and tastes off, the shrimp taste fishy. Cream cheese wontons are base level of acceptable but the sweet and sour sauce provided is not only tiny but seems watered down. Hot and sour soup tastes like dirty mushrooms I’m vinegar water.
When I walked in the woman working the front was sitting in the prep area eating and didn’t even finish swallowing her food before talking to me. I told her she could take a minute and with her mouth full she said it’s fine. Gross and you can’t be eating in the back of the kitchen, that’s a health code violation and I definitely didn’t need to see someone’s food in their mouth while they were talking to me

I really enjoyed the happy family meal, it was nice that you could use real plates and silverware. It wasn’t classy seating, but I can get there on my kick scooter and have a place to sit and eat. The people were really nice. It didn’t take long to get the food.

I don’t know why this place has bad ratings. My wife and I have eaten here (probably) 10-12 times and it is TOP NOTCH every single time.
