China cafe is right in the heart of Springville and is super easy to access for takeout. I called about twenty minutes ahead and ordered off their lunch special menu and was able to pick it up five minutes early! I only briefly met the lady w eta but they were very helpful and kind, they were having a slow day and were happy to chat!

I went near the end of their lunch hours and I’m glad I was able to sneak in last minute for the lunch special menu. It’s pretty cheap ($7-8) and I got the perfect amount of food for the price. I highly recommend snagging some pickup for lunch if you live in the area. Unfortunately I live pretty far north so it will be awhile before I visit again and I’m excited to try more on their menu!

What a disappointing experience here. First, the food tasted adequately, yet the dish was made with far too many vegetables and not enough chicken. Plus, I was either overcharged for the meal, based on the price on the menu, or they charged extra for refills, but it was too hard to read the bill, and by end of the meal, I just couldn’t fight over it.
As for the service, the server was a little slow, yet kind enough…well, until the problem with the bill.
Finally, the ascetics of the restaurant… I felt like I was sitting in a warehouse rather than a restaurant. Overall, this isn’t the best place to eat.

Very warm welcome. They were friendly and personal. Food came out piping hot. Treated us like royalty. Food was tasty. Place is a bit older and worn, which gives it some charm.

Good value, nothing fancy, taste is good too. I got the lunch special for less than $5, not a huge portion, but that was more than enough.

The place was empty which I have to admit was concerning, but the food was tasty. I had the Sweet Sour Pork with Kung Pao Chicken. The Kung Pao had a good amount of spice and was just the right heat.

We loved this place! I was skeptical after reading some reviews, but found the price was quite good for what we had and the food was very very good! We both got the #5 and found the chicken delicious, the shrimp was perfect, enjoyed the rice more than usual and the almond chicken was great too! Plenty of chicken in the almond chicken, which contradicts a previous review I had read. I definitely recommend this place!

I didn’t want to leave a bad review, because I can tell these guys are struggling. I wanted to give them some feedback tho, so they don’t go out of business. I hope they read this and fix their business strategy. It’s obvious they’ve been doing it this way for a while now, because the place is empty on a Friday evening. We were the only ones there.

My wife and I got 2 combination plates. The total dinner cost us $24. They both came with sweet and sour pork, which was the best part of the meal honestly. Except that it was only a few pieces, not even a real portion size. The fried rice was just a brown colored rice with canned ham crumbs in it and nothing else. As for the main course, I got cashew chicken and my wife got Kung pow chicken. Both the plates looked the same, just different sauce I guess. Problem is, we were hoping for chicken but instead it was mostly celery and carrots with a few thin bites of chicken mixed in. The prices weren’t bad for what it should have been, but awful for what was given. Waitress was nice tho.

Food was great except for the wings that were very salty. We told our server and she took it back and didnt charge us for them. We ordered teriyaki chicken sticks, combination fried rice , sweet n sour chicken, combination chowmein. Everything was delicious, but our favorite was the teriyaki chicken sticks. We were 10 people and our server was exceptional, fast and very patient taking our order and serving us. I wish I remember her name. We decided to eat outside and it was perfect. We were eating with the view of the river

The worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Pretty much nobody there. Hostess stood awkwardly and watched us eat. There could have been music playing or something, but no, it was silent.
There was hardly any meat in the meat dishes. Cashew chicken was almost completely celery. Twice cooked pork was 1/16th of an inch thick and mostly cabbage. Fried rice was totally dry.

BEWARE!!!! If you enjoy horrible food, horrendous customer service, and a filthy environment, this is the place for you. My husband and I attended at lunch time, 12:30pm on a Friday, the restaurant was empty. This should have been our first clue. After we sat down the waitress asked for our drinks, went to grab them, came back 1 minute later and asked for our order. We told her we needed a few minutes. She stepped back 3 feet and watched us while we were deciding. She came back 1 minute later and asked for our order. We didn’t want to tell her more time again so we hurried and decided. I asked if they had mandarin chicken or sliced chicken and she didn’t understand what I was asking. I ordered the combination with sweet and sour chicken. The food came out quickly but it for real only had 4 pieces of chicken, a ton of disgusting chow mein that was ALL soggy vegetables and maybe 10 little crunchy noodles. The rice was very bland. The entire meal was disgusting and NOT worth $7. My husband said his orange chicken was okay but I tried it and it was very mushy and chewy. I couldn’t even eat more than 1 bite of his. His plate was $10. NOT worth it. We could have gone to Panda and spent less and gotten way more meat and WAY better food. We both left not feeling well and still hungry. We spent $18.50 on 2 horrible meals. The vents on the walls had black grime around them as well right about the drinks which was gross. I’ve never been so upset leaving a restaurant.
