We took a chance based on the good reviews this place had, it was terrible. I had sesame chicken, zero flavor the sauce and chicken were burned and over cooked, my friend had the sesame tofu and it was hard and not cooked, both of our steamed rice tasted like it had sat in a steamer all day and reheated in a microwave. Never got the steamed vegetables we ordered. This was a take out order. The only thing good was the yummy egg rolls great ginger flavor. Normally we give great reviews and love to support small local business but we won’t order from here again.

Fairly average place. The veggies were wonderful, but the fried rice didn’t have any veggies or egg in it, which I found disappointing. The seated is limited, but it wasn’t busy went I picked up my order. The service was great:)

The previous Asian owners sold this restaurant to a Mexican family. So, we were hesitant at first. We were pleasantly surprised how high quality and superb the meals were.
The restaurant is not fancy, but it is very clean. The owner/chef greeted us when we walked in and checked to see if we were pleased with our meals a couple of time. Apparently he has worked in Asian restaurants and knew how to prepare them.
Without a doubt, China Cafe could be one of the top five chinese restaurant in the Denver area.
We will definitely go back!.

Unfortunately this place greatly disappointed me. While the customer service was ok but the food was absolutely atrocious. I paid over 40$ for egg rolls cream cheese wontons two entrees with fried rice. I got general Taos and it looked like someone dumped chicken nuggets in some form of syrupy sauce. This food gave me such bad gut rot from just one small plate I couldn’t finish it. With the vast quantity of Asian style restaurants I would recommend going elsewhere.

I’ve been here a few times usually not bad. But I went in tonight and order sesame chicken like I always do. When I got home there was no sauce on the chicken it looked more like sweet and sour chicken there was about two table spoons of sauce under the chicken. My egg roll was soggy with grease. Needless to say I will not be going back.

I didnt even know you could make chinese food this bad. I had to flush this food down the toilet because i would feel bad if racoons got a hold of it in the trash can.

There are certain vegetables I don’t like and when I ordered without onions and a few other things, they told they they would not accommodate me because it was “extra work” to have less veggies. They then decided that they would do it, but would have to charge me an extra $3 for taking out some veggies.
Once I did get my food delivered, they got the order completely wrong and still had all of the veggies. And on top of that, the sauce leaked out of the box and the food fell out of the paper bag and into the floor. I called to complain and they would not refund me or deliver a new order.
Horrible place. Ridiculous service. I would not recommend.

Reading these reviews reminds me people are the worst. This place has been great, the food is authentic, our server was on top of it, and in spite of whatever that one lady says about the fortune cookies, they’re fine. You’re eating at a Chinese food place in the target parking lot, not some 5 star bougie restaurant. They even brought water to my dog and then asked about him. Y’all one star writers need to go take a bath and relax and get over yourselves.

Nothing but stoners work here!
The Dollar scoop on Wadsworth and 20th is way better than this sorry place. Super Dry sesame chicken, and the chicken was marble size and to be honest there was no chicken at all, it was sesame bread! We PAID for extra shrimp, we found 2 pieces of shrimp in the entire order of combo fried rice. Def lost our business and we used to be regulars here. Seriously go to New China Kitchen you’ll pay less and the food is really good ever since they got new owners!!!

The food was alright. Not the best Chinese I’ve had for sure. But, it was good for the cheap price! The service was not great. I ordered food for take out and I asked to sit and he said it would be 5-10 minutes, even though the entire place was empty.
