What a wonderful place tucked away near Franscican. Par (the server) was so friendly and helpful! The tea leaf salad was incredible – crunchy and spicy!! I am not typically a tea lover, but this tea was the perfect compliment! From reading other reviews, I think it is Burmese. Will definitely be back!

When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by the kind wait staff but unfortunately things went a little downhill from there.
First of all, we were “encouraged” to get appetizers that we did not want. We declined.
After ordering food, we waited a long time to get our orders (in fine Southeast Asian style). We were not given any water and our drinks were not served with the meal, either, because they were “too sweet.” As a result, the meal made us both very thirsty.
When the meal was more than half finished, we were asked if we wanted chillies and spicy oil. I said that I did. Regrettably, it never came.
Finally, we asked for a carry-out box and the wait staff asked us to wait a moment. She proceeded to go chat with friends at another table and forgot to give us the carry-out boxes. When we requested them again, she seemed as if she had just heard our request for the first time.
I was tempted to give service one star but she was kind and smiling if flighty, so 2 stars it is.
The food was alright but nothing exceptional. The prices were similarly not cheap but what you would expect.
The atmosphere was enhanced by Chin Burmese music.
Pro Tip
All things considered, if you want Burmese food, I suggest Chin Brothers Restaurant near Saraga at Stop 11 and Madison or, better still, Rangoon Restaurant near Madison and Southport Road. Sorry to say, I cannot really recommend Chin Family Restaurant

The service is great and the food is great too. The owner is a really sweet lady named PAR. I got the Singapore noodles and the portion was really big I enjoyed it with shrimp and beef.
I went back a few days later and got another order and it was the same size and taste which I appreciate !
I went back and brought my boyfriend he got the beef and Broccoli. He liked it . I got my same the Singapore noodles combo and it was good!

Nice little restaurant, food is very tasty. The serving size is very generous. The crab Rangoon is about the best you will get anywhere. Service is very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend that you check it out!

Good service, delicious made-from-scratch food, generous portions at a reasonable price. I enjoyed my Pad Thai Chicken and my husband enjoyed his Udon Beef Noodles. The egg rolls were not the typical frozen variety, but were hand crafted with fresh ingredients. The dining area was clean and comfortable, the place was not very busy on an early Friday evening. If you want something a little fresher and a little different from the ordinary, be sure to check out this interesting Asian restaurant with a wide variety of food options.

Didn’t realize it was a Burmese restaurant till I looked at the menu. The food was amazing and the waitress was extremely helpful and cheerful with her suggestions. Had the beef rendang, an appetizer that she recommended that was the only dish I wasn’t a fan off, and then the crispy pork fried rice and the bok Choi type veggies. The crispy pork chunks was perfectly cooked and crispy and so full of flavor.. The veggies were lightly spiced but so healthy tasting and fresh.
Highly recommend this place for a fusion type South East Asian meal….
