I went inside to order some cheesecake and when I was given the cheesecake I’ve been into it. It was rubbery had no taste. The crust on it was hard like a rock and then when I tell the lady it’s not that good she just shrugs her shoulders. If you’re gonna make cheesecake, it better be fresh.

The food here is excellent. The staff is very friendly. I had the Peruvian chicken with fried rice and it was full of flavor. I also had the pork and cheese papusa and it too was flavorful and delicious. Don’t pass this place up. They have great food.

I really like my half chicken, papas frites, and fried plantains. Chicken was juicy and the skin flavor was good. I didn’t care much about that because I used the white sauce and green (jalapeno) sauces to complement it. I will be back to try some of the other dishes for sure. Very clean and staff was polite. They spoke English and Spanish.

Very flavorful food. Service was wonderful and prices were reasonable. My girlfriend and I arrived about 30 minutes before they closed and they had no issues with us ordering and eating as they closed up and cleaned the restaurant. Definitely worth checking out.

What a delightful little diner with delicious Peruvian chicken and rice! We also tried the fried yucca as an appetizer. Our server was very sweet and checked back on us several times. There were two big TVs showing a soccer game and there was even a little stage with big speakers for when they offer a live performer.

I’ve been here twice now. I can’t put into words the actual foodgasm I had this afternoon. The first time I came, I asked, “What is a good traditional dish?” and I was pointed to the Lomo Saldado en carne de res (beef). It was good, and it had been a few weeks, and I found myself working in the area again. I wanted to give it another try. Again, I was pointed to a dish called (in my best attempt to translate) Poor Man’s Steak. It looked good, but because of the name of the restaurant I wanted to try their chicken. I also asked about pupusas since I’d not heard of them before. I ordered one order of that and a half chicken with arroz blanco y platanos fritas (white rice and fried plantain). The pupusas was like a sopé with pork and cheese inside (I ordered pork and cheese, other options were cheese only or cheese and beans. They came with a red tomato sauce. They were delicious, fried with melted cheese and pork inside, and came with a coleslaw that was also very good with the right amount of tangy. I had two, one I ate with a fork as it was still super hot, but vy the time I got to the second one it had cooled a bit and I was able to eat it with my hands. Some of the slaw I ate by itself, but I discovered on the second pupusas (or pupusa?) that putting the tomato sauce and coleslaw on top was the best combo. Then the pollo (chicken)… It was a half chicken as I had ordered, the size of a fryer you’d get at walmart, maybe a little smaller. In this case, size was no issue as they packed in so much flavor. The skin had a delicious seasoning and the chicken had just the right amount of crisp-ness on the wing tip and the end of the leg. Now you’re thinking, but the white meat was probably too dry if it was a little blackened! Nope, they injected a seasoning mixture into the white meat, it was a nice suprise for sure. I used the green sauce mostly that came with the chicken. I would give it out of 5 for heat. Not burn the entire inner lining of your entire digestive system hot, but definitely some heat and enough to make your nose run. The white sauce was a mayo and or tarter sauce combo that I didn’t care for, but I had plenty of the green sauce to last. As far as my sides, the fried plantain was just right, caramelized with a firm texture and the white rice was on par, providing a cooling effect in a green sauce firestorm. My plate was cleaned, the rest of the chicken was cooked well and very juicy with a good amount of seasoning. As far as the restaurant, you order at the counter, have a seat, and they bring you your food. Drinks are given out at the register. They have a nice picture book for their dishes, so if you’re unfamiliar with the terminology, you can know what you are getting. I think I paid $13.50-ish for the chicken, well worth it, and now it’s time for a nap. I also tried two Peruvian cervezas, and I preferred the one in the green bottle.

Very bland. Chicken had no flavor, the rice and beans had no flavor. The only thing I enjoyed was the sweet plantations. Everything else was pretty bland and not worth it.
