Always a great experience here! I had my elegant wedding cake done here and then another custom cake recently for my daughters first birthday. I sent them an inspo and they literally recreated the cake each and every detail was exactly as I wanted it! The flavor is unbelievable. They mastered making beautiful cakes taste good! Stopped in today to pick up a few slices of cake as dessert with our dinner guest. The staff were all very polite and friendly, and you could smell that delicious sugar aroma as soon as you walked in the door.
I picked up two slices of the German cake and one slice of the chocolate raspberry ricotta. I found the cake portion of the chocolate raspberry to be very dry, but it was thankfully offset by the creaminess of the ricotta.
The German cake had shredded coconut in the icing which I hadn’t realized when purchasing, but made for a yummy addition to the taste. Just do be aware if anyone in your party is allergic to coconut. I don’t remember if it said on the label and I just didn’t notice.
I would love to go back again and try some of their cookies! They looked amazing.

I’m not sure how this is supposed to be an Italian bakery. We are from Italy my sister ordered a cake from them for a birthday party, based on the pictures the cakes looked really nice.
The decorations on the cake were wrong “no big deal” but the cake itself was literally boxed cake!
Everyone said it, overly sweet and not a cake you expect from a bakery.
The cream in the cake tasted like the cream you can find in a Boston cream doughnut, not Italian cream, or crema pasticcera at all.
The strawberries were whole not slices inside the cake fell apart when we tried to cut it because the strawberries were hard to cut.
Disappointing, first and last time for us.

Beautiful Italian bakery with options to buy cookies and cakes. We bought cannoli and fruit cake for a birthday. Both were good. Would like to try their cookies next time.

I have never heard guests at a wedding rave about a cake as much as they did at ours. People could not stop talking about how delicious our cannoli-flavored cake was. We wanted a tiered vintage-inspired cake and Lorena delivered the most beautiful and classic cake at a fair price. Chimirri’s was easy to work with and communicative. The only downside is that they were unable to deliver our cake (Lorena was very upfront about this), but we hired a morning-of coordinator who was able to pick it up and bring it to our venue in New Haven so it worked out fine for us, but something to inquire about when you call. We would highly recommend getting your wedding cake from Chimirri’s!

Chimirri’s made our wedding cake and it was amazing! Customer service was great, especially since my husband and I never actually went to the pastry shop for any tasting or meeting. Everything was done via email and worked out great. The cake looked exactly how I wanted it to, and it was delicious!!

Tried this place for the first time today because I was really craving some cannolis and they were excellent! The employees were all very nice and everything else in the store looked delicious. The cannolis were supposed to be for dessert but we ended up eating them right away. I’m going to have to come back and try other things such as the pepper biscuits and pies because they looked great as well.

I rarely write reviews, but every interaction I’ve had with Lorena and the entire Chimirri’s team has been nothing short of exceptional. The first ever experience was my wedding cake. I showed Lorena a specific photo and her team did an incredible job…it looked even better than the picture. This past time I worked with Lorena and the cake decorating team to decorate a Godfather themed cake for my husband’s 30th birthday. Again, I showed her a photo and the cake came out absolutely perfect. I received endless complements and I told everyone if they ever need a cake you have to go to Chimirri’s. Not only is the work that they do exceptional, the prices are very reasonable. Thank you to the entire Chimirri team for the amazing work you do!
