This place is to die for!!! Soooo authentic and amazing. We had beef enpanadas for starters. Then got the surf n turf skirt steak with garlic shrimp HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We also got the fried chicken with mofongo. Id recommend getting a different dish, perhaps the seafood combo or a different meat for more flavor but I will say the dish looked really cool lol. Will be back!!

I had the Oxtail with Arroz con gandules and was great! My wife had the garlic Shrimp. We had the pork belly appetizer and was also very good. The service is above average. Will be back soon.

First time coming here & absolutely looooved it all. Everything was tasty, extremely fresh & great portions. We ordered the lunch special & was so much food & so many choices. Today I had my first dining experience at Chimi King. It was excellent! Derwin provide excellent service and he was very kind. All the food was delicious. Highly recommend the passion fruit cheesecake.

This would be the second location I have eaten at in as many weeks. The first one was the express joint over on 436 near Colonial drive. This time I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in to find more of a nice bistro setting.
A friend had told me about the yaroa and so I decided on the chicken and beef mixed option over sweet plantains. The meat was excellent. It was well seasoned and delicious. The maduros were perfectly sweet. My only objection to this dish was it was absolutely drowning in sauce. Most of which I believe to be some sort of processed cheese product. Maybe that’s the way it comes. I was not impressed. I like the restaurant. I’ll definitely return to try other menu items, but this one was just way overkill on the cheesy saucy bit. The waitress, while nice, had me waiting 10 minutes before she even offered water and I almost had to walk back in the kitchen to get her to come out and take that order along with my meal order. Once the dinner was ordered things progressed smoothly. Overall I like the place, I just think there’s a misalignment on this dish. Going to go back and try other items. I really want to like this place, they’re doing things different. Probably next on the hit list is going to be one of the many bifongo dishes. We shall see.

I had a fantastic dining experience here. The food and service were excellent. I ordered the Churrasco with Mofongo — the steak was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned, cooked just right. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals, and we all agreed we’ll definitely be coming back.
The only downside was the temperature inside; it was a bit warm. There were also some issues with the Wi-Fi that caused a brief delay during the payment process. Additionally, the location is on the smaller side, so I’d recommend making a reservation to avoid a wait.
Overall, a great spot with delicious food and attentive service. Worth a visit!
