A no-frills spot for chilaquiles and brunch in a tight, busy, and slow-paced restaurant. While there are several breakfast options around Nogales, Chiloquiles is one I have most heard about. Arriving just before noon on a Sunday, the place was packed, and we were informed of a 30-minute wait. Seating was very limited, barely enough for our party of five. More customers kept arriving, making the restaurant feel even more crowded and uncomfortable. After about 20 minutes, we were seated at the back patio area, which felt overly warm and uncomfortable despite the shade.

The menu was straightforward, offering different variations of their take of chilaquiles. While the rest of my party ordered chilaquiles, I chose the scrambled eggs with ham (which the server described as a rather basic plate). Our food took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. The eggs were indeed simple—filling but unremarkable (6/10). The chilaquiles, particularly the red ones, lacked the expected spiciness and were equally average (6/10). Overall, the dishes weren’t impressive or worth the nearly hour-long wait. Service was slow, inattentive, and uninterested, making the hype around these chilaquiles feel very overrated.

Good mix red and green chilaquiles excellent service. If you go there try out the CHOPA. Hard to get parking. Great price for food

Everything about our breakfast was perfect. Small inside but had several tables in another room for overflow.

Have been to this place several times! Can’t go wrong with any of their dishes! Expect to wait on weekend mornings but worthwhile!

AMAZING! If you can take heat order the Chompa their version of Chilaquiles Soup. Kind of a tortilla soup but with extras. It is extra spicy but for someone whom loves spice just perfect!
