Really enjoy having this pub downtown Vancouver!

Clean, professional brewery with super nice staff all around!

Great beers that rotate very often and they have a small and limited menu but it is good quality delicious food!

The food is also priced a bit expensive even for downtown Vancouver. Sandwiches only come with chips.

The outdoor patio is basic but nice to have in a shaded area. Very nice on really hot days.

Staff is super nice and helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. (Shout out to Lynette and David)

Clean nicer bathrooms!

Cons: (very few)

Unfortunately, most seating is basic hard metal chairs with no backs and are uncomfortable.

I have noticed it seems to be a thing now where groups of parents show up to breweries with a bunch of kids and let them just run wild.

One night this weekend here it really did get out of control. Their kids were running near all the apartments in the private breezeway and throwing rocks from the flower beds, screaming / crying and the parents were wandering around with their beers well outside the restricted area for their liquor license. Then, a local lady (neighbor) was inside yelling at the staff about it and continued to do so outside – even then turning to yelling at the group of parents.

I did see both sides of the equation – but the lady living nearby yelling at people isn’t the way to handle problems. That lady – was clearly in the wrong. Especially yelling at parents when they are with their kids. We can do better as a community. Shame on her for doing so and making people feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Newest brewery outpost of a great brewery. Nice variety of beers on tap with an IPA focus (which they do an excellent job,) Bottle and cans available to go. Plenty of seating indoor and out.Friendly service , pretty popular on opening weekend. Very limited food menu (a few sandwiches and a salad option). On street parking can be an issue.

We visited within the first few days of opening, so it was nice and clean. The drinks tasted good; they were nice and cold. The food menu is small (for now, as they mentioned to us that they will be adding more). The pretzel was good, it was served hot with a mustard and cheesy dip. There is also an outdoor patio area to sit at.

We used to frequent Locust Brewing when we lived next door to the joint. Learned recently it has closed and that Breakside has taken over. Decided to stop in for a drink. They have decent indoor and outdoor seating. You’re right against the sidewalk, so there is some great people watching while you’re visiting. Their beers are vast. Now, to be fair, I don’t do a lot of beer drinking. We all know I like my martinis so beers are few and far in between. We did share a flight when we stopped in last… they had some great IPA options which was great for me – I prefer an IPA. The flight was good. There wasn’t a beer I didn’t like. The food options are limited. Not where we’d aim to go have dinner… now a nice beer before dinner downtown, sure, it’s a place to land. Service is always friendly and prices are fair.

I had the best caesar salad here. That’s my go to order if I’m feeling picky, or fat. Theirs was really different and delicious. Their sandwiches are awesome too. They also have pizzas. And BEERS. Good ones too! There’s always a place to sit. Until everyone finds out what they’ve been missing.

Killer brews and good vibes. If you like Breakside, IPAs, wine, or just tasty beer then def check this place out! Sounds like food menu is expanding over the coming weeks, but for now the sandwiches it’s offering sound huge and delicious.

Breakside Brewery is a fantastic spot with a welcoming vibe and genuinely friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The space is clean, comfortable, and well-kept, which adds to the laid-back atmosphere. Their sandwiches are absolutely awesome and the perfect match for their craft beers. Overall, it’s a great place to relax, grab a bite, and enjoy quality brews.
