Absolutely solid food. Damn good smash burger. All the food was great. Nachos were good portion size but felt like it was missing a big pile of Mac and Cheese on them. Sauces were all good. It was a little cold inside being 15 degrees outside and wish we had some kind of music playing.
Definitely a must visit and will return.

I’ve been a handful of times now, and to put it simply, this place is outstanding! Best wings in town, hands-down. It’s also probably the only place in town with a true smashburger (which is amazing). All the food is phenomenal because everything is done right.
The decor and music choices also offer a refreshingly different atmosphere to the West Side scene. A lot of work was put into this building, and it shows! It feels so much more open and inviting than previous establishments at this location. You would never even be able to tell that there used to be a smoking bar here.
I can’t wait to try more things and to see how this place grows and evolves!

Definitely a great place for a date or small friend group. The vibes were so chill and warm. The staff are very active. Owner was nice and checking on tables. Great prices. The smash burger was smashin’; fries are nice and crispy, thick, perfectly salted; mac and cheese was so cheesy and thick; baked beans were soo good . Went while it was snowing outside so it made the view outside the windows enhance the experience.

The chimichanga was incredible with pulled pork and beans and every flavor came through clean and bold. The Chill Billy Deluxe Smashburger with bacon was just as impressive. I am not sure what sauce they used, but I enjoyed every bite.
They also have a great craft brew selection.
This place is off the hook. We are already planning to come back and try everything else on the menu.

Relaxed atmosphere conducive to dining! Not a lot of noise made conversation easy. Best of all, was the food. I enjoyed well seasoned collard greens and a double smash burger. The burger was cooked with care. The bun was toasted and cheese melted throughout. Smash burger patties were well seasoned and done. I believe all sauces are house made. The golden sauce topped my burger and accentuated the flavors to another dimension. I enjoyed draft beer with my meal and was wonderfully surprised by it’s inexpensive pricing.
Conclusion: I have spent WAY more for WAY less value. Why break the piggy bank when you can receive excellent food, prime service, and drinks for half of what many premium burger chains charge? (Many guys: Five of them to be exact…would be double the price with half the quality.) It’s really a no-brainer

Chill Billy’s is my family’s new favorite spot! The Chill Billy Deluxe is one of the best smash burgers I’ve ever eaten, and everything else I’ve tried since we’ve been going is delish! The people are very friendly, the atmosphere is chill, and the prices are very reasonable. I really want this place to be successful. Come on out and support these hard working folks!

We had take-out once and ate in this evening. Great experience both times. We tried a few of the main courses; smash burger, dilla, the chimichanga, ribs. We’ve had almost all the sides; collard greens, mac&cheese, baked beans, fries and the cornbread. All of the food has been phenomenal and our server this evening didn’t let our drinks go dry. 10/10 place in Cookeville. Welcome to the WestSide ChillBilly’s ❤️❤️

We dined here on Tuesday, February 17. I was excited to try out the restaurant with an out of town friend. Unfortunately, our experience was not good. I am leaving a four star review because I want to support new business in Cookeville and don’t want to bring down their average, but our actual dining experience was less than that. To start, the service was quite slow, which I don’t think is the fault of the waitress who was very kind and warm. We waited 15 minutes for drinks. A request for water went unfulfilled altogether. My friend ordered the nachos. The queso and pulled pork were cold — not room temperature, but cold, as though they had just been pulled out of a fridge. I had the chopped ceasar salad, which was very good — but be advised, or contains breadcrumbs, which are not listed on the menu. So even if you order the salad without croutons, as I did, it is not safe for those with a gluten sensitivity (like me) or Celiac unless you request no breadcrumbs as well. We ate our meals and then needed to hurry off to CPAC for a show, but the waitress did not come by our table after another 15 minutes, so we walked to the front and asked them to cash us out there.
I love the WestSide and want this place to be successful, so I am offering this review to hopefully be constructive. I’d like to give it a second chance, but tonight was just so disappointing.

We have been here several times now on various different days of the week and have never had an “off” night with the food. The consistency with their meal preparation is outstanding. What initially caught our attention was the tallow fries and they really did not disappoint. Thanks for being open so late!
