We were promptly greeted and seated. Our server took our drink orders and returned to take our food orders.
My wife and I both ordered the same burger with specific modifications: my wife requested no ketchup and no mustard, while I asked for no ketchup. Additionally, my wife ordered chips and salsa, and I opted for the potato bacon soup as an appetizer. The server confirmed our orders.
My soup arrived promptly and was flavorful. Meanwhile, the server attended to other tables. After finishing my soup, I noticed that the chips and salsa had not arrived, and our server was nowhere to be found. When we finally caught her attention, she acknowledged that she had forgotten our order, which was not a significant issue.
Our burgers arrived, but both contained mustard. The server was momentarily absent, so it took some time to inform her of the mistake. She apologized, reviewed the order, and assured us that she would correct it. I was eating at a leisurely pace.
The server returned with a second burger, but this time it included ketchup. We pointed out the error again, and the server went to rectify the situation. During this time, the server was conversing with the manager, who glanced in our direction but did not approach us.
The server appeared visibly shaken and on the verge of tears. I reassured her that we were patient and understanding.
I inquired about the cook’s temperament, and the server attempted to downplay the fact that the cook has a short temper and can be intimidating. We offered words of encouragement, and I mentioned that I would speak with the manager. However, the manager ignored us.
In my opinion, the manager is responsible for the cook’s behavior towards the servers. If the manager cannot manage his staff effectively, it may be necessary to replace or retrain him.
There is no justification for a server to be reduced to tears in front of customers due to a mad cook and a manager’s incompetence. A manager should not allow his staff to be intimidated.
It took three attempts for the cook to prepare our order correctly. I fail to understand why it is so challenging to omit ketchup and mustard from a burger.
By the time the issue was resolved, I had finished my meal, and my wife had only eaten the chips and salsa with her Coke. This was an overpriced lunch with chaos.
Her dining experience was marred by the server’s distress, which affected her appetite. When I attempted to summon the manager, he retreated to the back of the restaurant.
We do not plan to return to this establishment. I have lost respect for the manager’s tolerance of a bullying chef who mistreats servers.
I hope that the restaurant will address its internal issues. ️
We called ahead and alerted of a party of 8 or more was coming, and ‘no reservation needed’ was our response so we showed up with 10.
There was only a small wait as they prepared our tables, so that was convenient for such a large group. So let’s start with:
SERVICE-To tackle a party of 7 or more, there should have been a 2nd server, one for drink orders and one for appetizers, IMO, so even though we were prepared with our drink orders, our server wasn’t as familiar with yalls menu, to capture our drinks before we already knew what aps so we waited an odd amount of time for the drinks. Server took our ap orders when we alerted them that our 2 children’s drinks were forgotten, so waiting for the servers return, once it’s been another 10 minutes we stopped a 2nd waitress and she got our children’s drinks within 2 minutes, (we meant to tip her separate). Original server only arrived to bring the appetizers. Seeing the mistake was handled, did pep his step up the rest of our meal. No onto:
FOOD-we order nearly every appetizer so we figured there was a system to its arrival, we was wrong, they was able to get everything about the same time so we quickly made placement then dove in. Only miss and was the focal point of our arrival, the tiktok famous CheesePull. They got all the pull, if they are fresh and fresh meaning to the table within 2 minutes of leaving the fryer, so note to self when ordering all the sauced cheese sticks, is the temperature to table timing. Our Nashville ones were perfect as seen in the video and photos, but the Chipotle honey soaked were cold. We ordered steaks, smash burgers, chicken crisper, triple dippers, Cajun pastas Mac n cheeses, sliders, and southern wraps and we only had 2 complaints 1-the Cajun Alfredo was oversauced and not personal preference, it was soup. 2-was the mac n cheese, we got 2 servings, both noodles over cooked so with the amount of cheese the wasn’t any texture which thru the dish off. So focal point being possible missed pasta practices or just simple timing.
Atmosphere-we came a peak time for dinner, and was seated immediately. The background noise must have been at the perfect decibel along with the customer spacing because we had to comments during conversation with noticing how well we could hear eachother. As for wall scenery or captivating artwork, historical pieces, id say was pretty simple.
Would we come back, YES, but with a smaller group and maybe re-evaluate our review. Thank you.
Don’t even fret though, I won’t be returning to inconvenience any of the employees again as they are clearly so busy on the phone!
