I’ve been looking for a place that would serve a sizzling platter of fajitas like we used to find everywhere in San Antonio. Chile Frito did a pretty good job on the fajitas they served me. Their salsa was pretty good too.
The restaurant itself is a small place that’s nothing special but it’s pretty typical of Mexican Restaurants I’ve visited over the years and it’s where I’ll go for Mexican food from now on.

Wow – just wow!! The guacamole is the best – creamy and fresh pico de gaya topped freshness that you want to just eat with a spoon! The jalapeno cilantro margarita- ooohhhh heck yaaas!!! Three types of salsa- all were great!! Food very authentic and delicious!! A have to try out!! If I could give it 10 stars I would!!

So, the place is quaint and has personality. When we walked in, the hostesses immediately met us spoke and quickly got us seated.
The servers were extremely nice and professional. Also, they were extremely knowledgeable concerning the menu.

Everything tasted great here. Started with Chips, salsa, and guac. They provide 3 different types of salsa which were all great. Guac was creamy and flavorful.
For entrees I had Chorri Pollo and my best friend had steak chimichanga. Chorri Pollo hit all the notes that I look for in the dish. Chimichanag was incredible. The sauce was smooth and filled with flavor.

It was my first time here and the service was exceptional, the place it’s small but cozy. We ordered carnitas tacos with rice and beans, birria tacos with rice and bean as well.
Carnitas tacos were good but dry…tortillas flavorless and the cilantro wasn’t chopped at all it was like the whole leaf. I got to say it was also a small portion, but what surprise me the most was the rice and beans cause it was a really small amount of each.
Birria tacos were simple, flavorless, the birria soup didn’t had no seasoning or birria flavor (weak and insipid).
Our chips and salsa were alright 8.5 on the chips and 9 on the salsa cause it wasn’t spicy and I don’t like spicy at all so I enjoyed it.

Best street tacos in Myrtle Beach (Carolina Forest). Just moved here 3 months ago . Have tried multiple Mexican restaurants and taco spots. But this place is hands down the best for Tacos and their salsa and queso are great too!!! Also Meghan our server was great as well!!!

First time eating here tonight. We ordered to go (we live just 6 mins away). Very disappointed. The carnitas tacos were veryyy greasy. Almost slimey, inside and outside the taco shell as well because the meat was so saturated. We also ordered a veggie quesadilla. Wow. What a disappointment. As you can see in the picture, it’s nothing more than 2 separate small shells folded in half. Not fried. Not crispy. Not melty. Veggies inside were also greasy like the carnitas. “Quesadilla” was $13 alone. So not worth it. Will not be returning.

Sauces were good.The chips were really tasty. The quesadilla was of steak and it had good flavors that needed to be complemented by the sauces. The rice was well balanced and cooked to perfection. The pico de gallo missed some of the vinegar flavor.

If it hadn’t of been for the light blue pick up truck in my community that had jalapeños all over it and the name Chile Frito my wife and I would have never known this excellent Mexican restaurant existed. At first we didn’t know what it was advertising then we decided to look it up after seeing the truck parked next to our car. It turns out it is a Mexican restaurant so we decided we were going to try it out the next day for dinner.
Chile Frito is in a small shopping center it’s not a very big restaurant. We went in and were greeted by the owner, he was very nice. I mentioned to him that we had seen the blue with jalapeños all over and looked up the name to see what it was. Excellent advertising.
I had 3 taco beef chicken and a pork with rice and beans wife had a chicken meal with caso cheese and r and b. My favorite taco was the pork it had a little pineapple in it it was excellent very tasty and moist the beef and chicken were good but that pork was amazing I would surely order again. Wife’s meal she said was good also.
Oh this is good food. Ask for extra tortillas for your taco or ask for flour tortillas.
