I placed a large order (17 sandwiches) super close to closing for work dinner and they were more than willing to fulfill my large order, even staying after closing to complete everything. my coworkers and I were so appreciative!
while the service alone is enough to make me want to return, the banh mi here is genuinely yummy. they have so many options for protein! I got the lemongrass beef and my coworkers got roast pork, roast chicken, or tofu. everyone had rave reviews 🙂
thank you so much to Jen and the lovely ladies who made my order. I will be returning!!!
I stopped in here, and asked if they took card and to my delight they answered yes. The kind gentleman who took my order recommended the combo or the lemongrass beef. Everything sounded so good but I decided on the Roast Pork and Lemongrass Beef.
Roast Pork 4.5/5
I tried this one first and it did not disappoint at all. The pork was so tender and flavorful and the bread was perfectly crunchy but soft. The pickled veggies and other toppings perfectly complemented the savory pork. I only rated it lower because I loved the beef so much.
Lemongrass Beef 5/5!!!
This was the most tender beef I’ve ever had in a sandwich and it was so flavorful!! I finished it so quickly I feel like I didn’t savor it 3
I’m so glad I stumbled upon this shop today and I can’t wait to come back and bring my friends and family!
I was wondering how I had overlooked this spot, but to open a banh mi shop in little Saigon next door to some of the big hitters you gotta be doing something right, and after one bite I instantly knew that they were.
Had the chance to meet Danny who is a Bay Area native, from the TL. He is incredibly passionate, dedicated and makes every sandwich perfectly. From the bread used, the freshness of the veggies, the well marinated meats, down to the careful attention of where each ingredient is placed in the sandwich, everything is intentional, and well thought out.
They got a wide range of mroe unique meats to try, as well as rotating Vietnamese specials on the weekends. This is a quality over quantity spot (ie the slightly higher price point is justified by the ingredients used).
This is up there in the best banh mis I’ve ever had. I can say with confidence you will not regret making the journey to the TL to come here, and after one bite you will soon have a new favorite sandwich. I can’t wait to try the other meats, but so far the lemongrass beef has been insanely flavorful.
Keep up the great work, I will be returning regularly to support this real neighborhood gem, and enjoying the best banh mi in sf.
Let’s talk Noodles- This place makes the best coconut noodles with shredded pork, make it a combo and add fresh sizzling stir-fry steak, you can pretty much only get this type of dish in the San Jose area and it would not even guarantee the quality and delicious taste that Bo & Beurre can offer. The sweet coconut gliding along the slippery noodles with steak and shredded pork, just the right amount of salty umami taste with pickled veggies, fresh cucumber and bean sprouts make for the perfect combo bite, a taste of Vietnam at your fingertips.
Banh-mi- I’ve pretty much eaten every sandwich here but my favorite is combination, I mean how can you not love a combo? No need for any details but if u have or haven’t tried a banh mi in your life time GET ONE HERE!!!
The steak banh mi is a SPECIALTY, you can’t really get one like this at any other banh mi shop because here they stir fry the steak per order so yah ain’t gettin no pre-made nothing, everything fresh, sizzling and HOT!
