We thoroughly enjoyed our food overall. We got ground beef tacos and a steak torta. The ground beef was nicely seasoned – not even close to bland, a bit spicy. The torta was good, but I think I’d try something different in the future. I put their green sauce on it, but would’ve been happier with a spicier one. All 4 salsas from the salsa bar are very good – thoroughly enjoyed those. I said we didn’t want any drinks and the cashier offered you water cups – that was greatly appreciated.

Absolutely hands down awesome grub. We have visited 3 times now and its our permanent go to when we are in the Brentwood/ Nashville area ( about 3 times a month)
We have had the burrito bowls, ive hammered down on the 15″ burrito mm mmmm mm and the fish tacos ( fried or broiled) were also very yummy. Lots of fresh toppings and an awesome variety of salsa’s and sauces the Chipotle crema is one of my instant faves. And ya can’t beat the prices or portions!! A must stop if your in the neighborhood yummmmmmm

I am from California and we have plenty of great Mexican joints and choices there but this one is pleasantly surprised with decent burritos and as authentic as you can get, especially in Tennessee.. we ordered a grilled carne asada burrito, 4/5 – very good. I am a sucker for black beans, a few of beans falling out so I got to taste them alone, damn they are delicious .

If you want to get more authentic Mexican fares and support a small local joint, highly recommend this.

This place has great food with a unique cafeteria style way of building your dinner items. The servers are quick to build your tacos with meats and toppings of your choosing. There is a self service salsa bar with a nice section of salsas, sauces, lemon & lime wedges. We had a great dining experience!

The torta sandwich was okay. The bread seemed stale, not as light and fluffy as an authentic torta. Staff was okay, rushed us through line but the food was not the worst

This place is awesome. It is an EXACT replica of “La Bamba” from when I was in college….. the two gentlemen who run this place use to run the La Bamba on Green Street in Champaign, IL…. absolutely love this place. (Notice the neon light above the door) and don’t sleep on the hot sauce…

Pretty tasty and loved the variety of proteins. Much better flavor and portions than the downtown location. although was overcharged substantially when compared to menu price when I got my receipt.

Wanted a burrito for lunch and this was recommended by a customer.

Cool interior, build your own burritos and fresh ingredients.

Food is good, service is great and it’s hot and quick.

Basically chipotle with a cooler vibe and slightly better ingredients.

Here’s the breakdown:

Good food +1 star; cool interior +1 star; friendly service +1 star; reasonable pricing +1 star.

I’d go back.

Every once in a while you stumble upon something and you wonder why you hadn’t been there before. Such is the chase with Chile Burrito. I mean, it’s not like it’s hidden or hard to find, I just hadn’t been into the unexpectedly large retail area that it’s located in until recently. What I didn’t expect to find from its rather unassuming store front was AWESOMENESS.

The first thing you notice is color. From the mural on the wall to the streamers hanging from the ceiling to the chairs that are all kinds of colors, Chile Burrito is a festival of colors from the second you walk in the door.

The menu is laid out on chalk boards above the food area, hand written in various colors of chalk. The menu options are huge and run the gambit of all of your Mexican favorites from tacos to burritos to quesadillas to bowls, each available with a protein (or two) of your choice. Like other fast casual Mexican eateries, as you go down the line you add the ingredients you want to suite your taste. Some come with an upcharge, some don’t. Items that come with an upcharge are listed on the menu board above. It isn’t hard or confusing at all. While some reviewers state confusion about how/where to order, I have to wonder why. Have they never been to QDoba? Chipotle?

Along with posting a photo of the menu, I’ve also included a close-up of one particular section of the menu. Consider yourself challenged.

My choice was a chicken bowl with cilantro-lime rice, add some fajita veggies and sour cream. A side of chips and salsa, of course, because this meal needs to be well-rounded.

One nice thing is the salsa bar, with five different salsas of different varieties and heat levels. I tried all five and found my favorite to the three-pepper Tomatilla d’arbol. Nice flavor, a little smoky, and just enough heat to let you know it’s there.

My food was great. I don’t know what kind of seasoning or marinade they used on the chicken but it was amazingly good and very moist, not dry like some other places. The chips were good but a bit thick for my taste (nothing I’d take any points away for), and worked well with the various flavors of salsa.

During my roughly 40 minute visit the dining room and trash were tended to a couple times and the salsa station and drink station wiped down to keep them clean.

During my monthly visits to Brentwood I’m always on the lookout for great places to eat. This one just go added to my rotation.

Very good Mexican food for the price. Decent indoor dining area and tiny outside dining as well. The kid’s meals are very generous. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because the service was just okay. It took way to long for me and my family to be acknowledged in the serving line and the energy was super low from the cashier. It felt like our presence was an inconvenience. Considering that, a 4 is generous, however I will give it another try because the value/food was really good.
