I had 1 asada taco and 1 al pastor taco plate while my wife had 2 birria taco plate. Both came with Mexican rice and black beans and were $17 each. The flavor of the asada and Al Pastor were both somewhat bland and the Birria (shredded beef) was too sweet and tasted more like pot roast. The black beans were unexpected as we thought they came with redried beans. There was a hair in one of my wife’s taco, but we didn’t complain because she wasn’t going to eat it anyway. If you like a fun atmosphere with non-authentic Mexican flavor then this place is for you.

Had a great experience here. My man and I were looking for a spot to eat in the area and we just passed by this, caught our eyes and we are so happy we tried it!
Friendly staff. The food got ready in good time, and it was really good, especially the quesadillas were amazing! It was hard not to get more!

Stopped in for some Nachos, WOW biggest tray of Nachos ever! They were really good, if they had more cheese they would.of been great.
The place is super chill, good vibe clean and fun. Our bartender was really nice, they have specials most days. We’ll be back soon!

I had a great experience at Chihuahua Cerveza. Right next to chipotle. Conveniently located in the landings pavilions. My service was awesome. I got the California burrito which was really good. I definitely recommend this place. And I will be back. Located in Newport Beach Balboa.

Wow! Don’t be fooled by the fact it’s in a strip mall. (Also – that means you’re not hunting for parking!) As the exterior hints, this place is intentionally crafted to be aesthetically pleasing, welcoming, cool-casual & family friendly. I was visiting for work & didn’t get a chance to try the food, but it looked amazing! Lots of options & I’d come back to try them if I’m the area. Tried their flagship beer & it was crisp, balanced, refreshing & delicious

Oh wow, I rode 80 miles to find something different..they didn’t disappoint. Complimentary chips..beware the little bowl of Diablo sauce lol.. I had the chicken tortilla soup, (nice heat, plenty of tender chicken chunks) and the Drunken Shrimp Tacos. Oh my, they are an awesome pair, the slight sweet flavor of the tacos( I drizzled a little of the lime they provided) perfectly compliments the tangy heat of the tortilla soup. Add a temperate afternoon sunset with the gas heated patio and you have the recipe for a memorable lunch.

We enjoyed the nachos and the tacos borrachos very much! There is comfortable outdoor seating available with heaters and lights, as well as an overall nice environment. Definitely check it out for quality food and good beer on the Balboa Peninsula.

Went for game day beer special, delish tacos and salsa bar where we had awesome service overall, hope I have the bartender name right (Danni?). Beautiful design/decor with a variety of food options and clientele including families; can’t imagine why anyone would go to the chain next door!!
