Chickie’s & Pete’s is a Philadelphia-based crab house and sports bar with 17 locations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and two locations in Nevada. Founded in 1977 by Peter and Henrietta Ciarrocchi, Chickie’s & Pete’s began as a single corner bar in the Mayfair neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia and has since grown to become one of the most recognizable brands in the region. It’s famous, one-of-a-kind Crabfries® concession locations can be found in stadiums, areas, boardwalks, and amusement parks throughout the country.

Where do I begin? Walking in I was greeted by a friendly group of young adults. The place wasn’t crowded so noise level was perfect. I don’t like going somewhere and not hearing my own conversation. The decor was really nice. Our waitress Alyssa was super attentive and friendly. She explained what foods were spicy and so on. She was fast. It was perfect. I ordered the Chicken Nachos and they were by far the best nachos I’ve ever had! Ever! I ordered the breaded buffalo shrimp. Not sure of the name but a pic is provided for reference. The drinks were amazing. I ordered a Cosmo which was tasty and sweet. Then I looked at the cocktail menu and was enticed by the Flyin’ Hawaiian. OMG! So good!! I had to have a second and third. My fiance had a Woodford Reserve and a Blue Moon beer. At the end of our night we were pleasantly surprised at the total of our check. It was under $100. If I ever see another Chickie’s and Pete’s amongst my travels, I will definitely stop in.

I can’t even explain in words how outstanding the service is!!! Tyler, Ryan and Brian have shown immense hospitality!!! I’ve been a patron for about 3 months and this has become my “go to” spot! The food has been great and drinks come in a sufficient time. More so management comes out and check on the comfort of the patrons which makes the experience different from the others. I’ve observed the great service from sports events to event parties come in and the Intimate services provided has inspired me to do my own. Great place! Great people! Thanks staff!!!!

I’m not someone who usually writes reviews. I’ve lived in six different countries, many of them known for exceptional service, so it takes something truly genuine for me to stop and share my thoughts. This place earned that.
From my very first visit, I felt something I wasn’t expecting. I walked in not knowing anyone, and one bartender greeted me with a sincerity that immediately stood out. It wasn’t the usual polite welcome … it was real, warm, and disarming in the best way. That first experience set the tone, and what surprised me even more was how often I felt that same authenticity from crew each visit. It started with one person, but a great example of the spirit of the whole place.
What makes this spot special is the people! Every bartender and the manager greet you with a warmth that feels honest, almost like they’ve genuinely been waiting for you. As someone new to the neighborhood, that kind of welcome means more than they probably realize.
There’s a connection here that you can’t fake. It has that “Cheers”feeling… familiar, comfortable, and full of heart. It’s a place where you can settle in, let the day fall off your shoulders, and feel a sense of peace that’s hard to find anywhere else.
This isn’t just somewhere I go. It’s a place that already feels like home.

This place was all of that and the basket of fries I ate and left no crumbs! Let me say this, the staff was great! As soon as I walked in I was greeted and the energy and vibe was a yes for me. It was 10 pm and I was tired and hungry from a long flight. I had never heard of this place but it was conveniently located near my hotel and
It didn’t close til 1 am and I needed food. The waitress suggested what was popular and the cheesesteak and crab fries came out fresh and hot! The TVs weren’t too loud and the customers were great and appreciated the atmosphere too. I ❤️ the place and I will be back!

I don’t ever leave comments but felt this was necessary. At first I ordered a drink and was the only one at my table to be carded (which had younger peoplebut still legal). My waiter came back and said they were out so I ordered another drink. Never recieved it, asked about it and my server completely ignored my question. Like if he thought I was drunk or something that would be nice to know, but I was not either way. He kept serving other tables but would not come back to our table until after this amazing manager already came over to our table. We explained our situation and he took care of us completely. He saved our experience there and thankful for the manager in his concern to look into what happened and why we were treated the way we were. I would’ve given less stars but the manager was so nice and I’m so appreciative of his concern and hope he does actually find out why our experience happened so this doesn’t happen to other costumers because some people are not as nice as us and we tried to be as considerate as we could being upset as we were. The food was delicious though.

Food was great – had the mussels in white sauce and a burger – fries great as usual. Only thing that shocked me was the $4.50 coffee an no free refill. Plus a $9 bowl of soup. Other than that – very good!

Sam was outstanding. We especially loved how he treated our autistic daughter with dignity and respect, like a typical young woman. Our pizza, crab cake sliders, cheesesteak, and crab fires were all hot, fresh, and really good. Thank you!

Extremely disappointing compared to how it used to be. Restaurant needs updating. The crab fries came out at room temperature. My son ordered a burger cooked to medium and it was browned on the outside but almost raw on the inside. My chicken parm sandwich was OK, not good, but it seemed like frozen chicken was used rather than fresh breaded cutlets. The host was extremely friendly and our waitress was good. Would not come back based on the prices compared to the quality of food.
