Unfortunately.. I forgot why we stopped coming to this one. I was quickly reminded my potatoes were old the ribs looked off. I’m guessing extra barbeque sauce meant some sauce on one side. The potatoes had the extra butter but they were too old to be eating. It wasn’t even busy there is no excuse for serving old food. I will not be coming to this one again I had to toss the whole meal at these prices that’s too frustrating.

I had a lovely experience placing a walk in order here. Chicken, fish, ribs, and potatoes and mushrooms.
It took a little less than ten minutes from when I placed the order to be out the door, which was great, and the cashier was extremely personable and had a warm attitude.
The single minor complaint I would levy is the potatoes and mushrooms felt undersalted, but I like a lot of salt. That may just be me.

Updating, tried again. Still have us overcooked chicken. They replaced it with… you guessed it, overcooked chicken, some were so overcooked the piece split! Pieces had chunks of burnt breading. Terrible. I give up.
We love Chicken Shack, but this location has gone down. Last few times the chicken was overcooked. This time they forgot to put in all the sauces as well, so then we were left with dry, overcooked chicken with nothing to dip them in. Would reccomend going to Chicken Shack on Woodward or 11 Mile instead.

We haven’t eaten here for several months. It has really gone downhill. The potatoes weren’t seasoned the same. The chicken tenders were tough. The cod was so small and dry. It really was awful. Don’t know if I’ll eat Chicken Shack again.
The prices have also gone up. Food quality has gone down.

We keep trying to give this place the “proverbial” second chance ? we are finally giving up giving this place second chances and are done with this location ! I waited thinking I was getting fresh hot food ??? Watching the cook back there going through the motions? 15 minutes later and they give me cold Potatoes , the chicken tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp, the ribs were cold and their slaw which they are famous was watery like soup??? The sign says “please wait while we make up your order fresh???” Top dollar for sub par food and a guy who took my order who looked like he could care less and never got my order correct ??? If I could give a negative Star as a rating I would . Seems like every other time we would go in this particular place the food is lousy ? This last time , the counter guy was a dud and could care less to take my order and the food was terrible. Sorry , this was your last chance with us. Try Mui Chinese right next door. Their food is fresh, hot and tasty!

Definitely one of the worst and least consistent Chicken Shacks in the area. Done giving them a chance, employees always yelling, don’t follow orders, missing or wrong items, it’s a joke. Stick to the ones in Royal Oak if you are in this area.

We had guests from out of town and they really wanted your chicken. What a joke this was. How can you possibly charge someone almost FORTY dollars for 8 pieces of chicken and then send your customer home with OLD dried out tasteless chicken and completely and I mean completely unseasoned potatoes. We dumped it and made sandwiches. Not the first time this has happened but we were always willing to give it another chance. Not this time.
