I visited Chicken Salad Chick for the first time today, and unfortunately it wasn’t a great first impression. My order came to about $15, which I was fine with; however, my sandwich was not toasted as requested. I also paid extra for bacon, but what I received was very minimal and noticeably burnt.

Additionally, the portion size for the side was disappointing. For the price, I expected the side container to be filled a bit more generously.

That said, I do want to note that the cashier at the front was very nice and courteous, which I appreciated.

I may try another location in the future, and I’ll definitely make sure to check my order before leaving next time.

We came in and spent $38.00 on two chicken salad plates, and even tipped at the counter before sitting down. When the food came out, mine was correct — but my pregnant wife’s was not. She politely told them what she had ordered and just asked for it to be corrected.

If you’re going to charge nearly $40 for a couple of chicken salad plates, it needs to be right. She ordered the Fruity Fran, but they brought it out with bacon and cheese on it. She went back up, calmly explained that she didn’t order bacon or cheese, and asked if they could fix it.

A few minutes later, they handed her back what looked like the same exact sandwich — still with bacon and cheese — and even smiled and laughed as she walked back to the table. My wife is pregnant and gets sick to the smell of bacon, but she’s a lot kinder than I would’ve been. She just pulled it off and tried to eat what she could.

At that point, the restaurant was already quiet — barely any customers in there — so there’s really no excuse for not taking the time to do it right. The problem isn’t the mistake. Mistakes happen. The problem is how it was handled — or rather, how it was mocked.

What made it worse is that the manager was involved, standing there while her employees watched it happen. That sets an awful example for leadership. When management acts that way, it tells the rest of the staff it’s okay to treat people disrespectfully. And then when someone finally gets upset, they’ll play the victim. Lucky for her, I’ve changed my ways — but a lot of people wouldn’t have stayed that calm seeing their pregnant wife treated like that.

This isn’t just about a sandwich. It’s about respect, integrity, and pride — the kind of pride that blinds people from doing what’s right. A manager should teach her team to take care of customers, not laugh at them.

We won’t be spending another dollar here, and I hope the owner sees this and takes it to heart. Because if someone had been allergic instead of pregnant, that kind of negligence and attitude could’ve had real consequences. For the sake of whoever owns this business — I’d suggest re-evaluating who’s representing your brand.

They won me over as soon as they said there were no onions in their chicken salad (except for the Dixie). Then I bit into my sandwich, and became a believer! The creamy chicken and wild rice soup was also delicious. Service was outstanding.

Best Chicken Salad Chick in the area, drive from 30 minutes away but still worth the drive , best chicken salad , so much better than grocery store, or even fresh made at grocery stores, I like the classic carol the best , employees are great , great rewards program, cost can get high but I think the quality is worth it , free large chicken salad every 3 or 4 visits with rewards, thank you!

$11 for cheese and bread. Teenagers working in the back during dinner shift I guess they literally put nothing on my sandwich. I had to go back in there and ask where is my chicken salad??? Is this a joke ? For reference, the second one is how it’s supposed to look. Better check your food if it’s 2go.

My daughter in law wanted to go here so bad. So we had to make it happen. We had a plan but my son failed to execute our plan. He did little from helping convincing his Collegiate Disc Golf Team from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to go. That being said the establishment is setup really nice and the atmosphere is welcoming. I had the Fancy Nancy the chicken salad name was like the establishment Fancy. We also had Sassy Scotty, and the Dill-icious Diva. Everything tasted amazing the pickle was perfect and so was the cookie .

First time visit. The food was good, I was disappointed in the quantity of the food. I had a sandwich and 2 sides. All was delicious. But I left there hungry. And I spent nearly $20. The amount of chicken salad on my sandwich was minimal. The portions on the sides were small also. I guess for a “do lunch” place for ladies, it would have been ok. But for a hungry man, very insufficient.

The food was very good. I didn’t know that they had pimento cheese so I was pleasantly surprised! The service was excellent! The menu was small, so it was easy to make choices. There was a kids menu too, AND a drive through.

We love it here. It’s casual, unassuming and such good food for lunch. My elderly mom and I go here for the simple atmosphere and conversation. We love the fancy Nancy!

photo was after the other half of a Buffalo Barclay on wheat was eaten 🙂

I’ll start with the positive- friendly service. The restaurant needs a menu where cars can look prior to the window, holds up line when the first look is when you order. The food- It’s okay. I wouldn’t say the portions are large. More on the smaller side as far as the chicken itself and sorry to say lacked mayo. The croissant took over the plate with less filling it was not that pleasing. I wouldn’t say it’s very expensive but I’d rather pay more for a better product. Drive through is convenient. See photo, looks like a mouse took a bite from the cheese.
