Great restaurant to grab some chicken and fries! The food was delicious, the service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was chill. There’s a bar here as well to grab a drink. Great lunch or dinner spot in downtown Nashua.

Was in town and remembered they reopened. Arrived as they opened the doors. My impression was the place was very clean. The bar, tables and floor were spotless. My partner ordered a chicken sandwich and I did the OG chicken, which was the original recipe. The food was hot, juicy and yummy. I was surprised I ate all of them. As some have noted, the jojos are different. For me, I liked them better than original. I don’t care for the breading on the originals. Maybe they shouldn’t call them jojos, but rather potato wedges? We’ll travel the 30 miles to visit again, real soon.

Stopped by for dinner immediately they got me a great sit at the bar and a ice cold beer within 20 seconds of sitting i decided to order the skirt steak dinner and it was one of the best steaks ive ate and the mashed potatoes were the best I’ve ever ate I highly recommend stopping here the food is amazing and the atmosphere is incredible

This place isn’t what it used to be. New owners, different recipe. I got what was supposed to be a chix stix dinner and I wasn’t happy with the result. I paid $14 and got five chicken tenders which were very dry and greasy, no exaggeration 15 fries and about five onion rings. The fries were overcooked and greasy and the onion rings were overcooked and greasy. I am going to attach a picture and for those that went there before it closed should know what I’m talking about, this is completely different! In my opinion the new owners should have changed the name of the restaurant because the loyal customers that used to go there before like myself are expecting the same chicken recipe and overall same recipe for everything else and it’s just not that! If they named it something else then we would expect something else.

Overall food was okay… the flavor profile of the Mac and cheese was very basic. Not bad but also not great. Chicken was decent, but I ordered buffalo tenders and got regular which was frustrating. Pricing is fair – $27 for two people and good size portions. Chicken sandwich was big and my husband loved it. Pros and cons just like anywhere you can go to eat, I think there could be some improvements made.

So first off, I was a regular at Chicken N Chips when it was the original owner. Heck, I lived less than a 3 minute walk from them for a few years (was quite the regular back then.)
Some of you may know that Chicken N Chips (as owned by Jimmy of Uncle Joey’s in Merrimack) had a fire a few years back, and there was no Chicken N Chips downtown anymore. Well low and behold, Chicken N Chips is back. Same location, the original Phone number is back too. So lets talk about the insides.
Nice and clean interior. Sadly the chicken museum is gone (no surprise, it was probably destroyed in the fire) Great looking tables, nice and clean counter and order area, the bar looks fantastic. Wait, Bar?! There’s a full bar in Chicken N Chips now? Okay, that’s kinda interesting. I suppose after a long day or week, might be a nice place to grab a drink, relax, and enjoy a good meal. I did not partake in the bar on this visit, so I can not speak to the service or drinks. But no worries.
Okay, let’s get to the food. I ordered the Original OG Chick Stix Dinner. 6 Chick Stix, fries, a sampling of cole slaw and a sauce of your choice. I went in with an open mind. The chick sticks themselves, look great! Good color, nice size. Great start. But how do they taste? Gotta say, they were really good. Breading was just right,m nice and crispy exterior, chicken itself was perfectly cooked, nice flavor and a really easy and great eat. 5 Stars! Awesome!
The fries. Maybe I’m old school, but I like my fries a bit thicker cut. These were on the thin side (Might just be their vendor) and were a little flimsy and could have had a bit better french fry flavor. Was a little bummed there, they’re decent fries, but I’d just like to see them go with a thicker french fry.
Ordering was super easy, the staff was really friendly and made the experience all together great.
The pay screen prompted for joining a point club (I forgot to sign up so can’t tell you about that yet) Hoping it’s similar to the days of old where after X meals you get a free one, but we’ll see.
Overall I’d highly recommend stopping by if you haven’t done so yet. There’s a great menu filed with some really good looking items there as well. I’ll be back for more!
