First time eating here. I’ve seen this food place while driving over the road but never stopped to try it. Today, a co worker took me here. The food is sooooo good. Better than Popeyes or churches. Their rolls are super fresh and taste perfect. The gravy is the best, so good I had to order a cup. The chicken was so good. And the sweet tea just made the meal that much better. I didn’t expect for the food to taste this good. They had a soft spoken gentleman as the cashier and he was so sweet, thou hard to hear it, I was ok with leaning in to understand him. He always smiled and was kind and gentle, and I saw JESUS in his eyes. I will be eating at Chicken Express as I drive the states. Literally such good food. Very surprised how tasteful it all was.

The service was great and friendly, and the locals that came often were definitely greeted as such in the dining room. The sweet tea is what makes me come, its amazing, its sweet, its diabetes in a cup. The chicken, especially the tenders really need some seasoning, at the minimum some salt. The tea is the only thing I stop and order from them for. If the tenders and chicken got some actual seasoning, I’d stop more than once every few months.

worst food poisoning i’ve ever had in my life. and hair in my food. you bet im calling and asking for a refund when they open
EDIT: I returned to the store to get a refund and that’s where the doubts started. Walking in I was greeted by the same friendly cashier that I was greeted with the day prior, after hearing my complaint, she informed me that nobody else had complained about having food poisoning. Regardless, she let me talk to the manager on duty. the manager on duty, then gave me the phone number for the general manager, when I called the general manager, I was doubted once again about me getting food poisoning from that particular restaurant. I asked the general manager if they check every piece of chicken that leaves the kitchen, he informed me that they do not, and they are cooked in batches.
I believe that I ate a piece of undercooked chicken, and I believe that I will not be getting my money back.
because of the mistake that I had made by visiting this “food establishment” I had food poisoning throughout Thanksgiving.

I love chicken exspress, just don’t love the prices. So we don’t get to eat there much. I think nearly 10.00 for 2 strips and a side is very high to pay. Employees are always friendly and food is hot and delicious.
